Reflections
Mrs. Jeanette Tabb Wilson was born May 24, 1935, to her beloved parents, the late Mr. John Tabb and Matilda Weston Tabb in Memphis, Tennessee. She accepted Christ at an early age.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Johnnie Mae Robinson, Justin Gilliam, Levi Tabb, and her son, Terry M. Wilson.
Jeanette attended Booker T. Washington High School, where she was a majorette and was a part of the graduating class of 1953.
While a student at Booker T. Washington High School (Memphis), Jeanette Wilson met Carlotta Watson, a faithful member of Mt. Pisgah C.M.E. Church. Jeanette accepted Carlotta’s invitation to visit her church. Under the pastorate of Reverend E. Lynn Brown, Jeanette became a member, and the rest is history.
Jeanette loved the Lord, and she loved Mt. Pisgah. From her high school days until her recent illness, Jeanette was a dedicated and willing worker for Christ. In addition to generously supporting the Local Missionary Department, she was an active member of the following ministries: Steward Board, Church Finance Team, B. R. Danner Club, and Sunday School. Through the years, Jeanette endeavored to live out her Christian faith during each moment of every day.
Some of her life hobbies and enjoyments included doing hair, traveling, cruising, shopping, cooking, and enjoying time with family at family gatherings.
Early in the 1960s, Jeanette moved to Sacramento, California, where she retired after 25 years of work for the McClellan Air Force Base. Jeanette also retired after many dedicated years of service as a Federal Investigator for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). She was also a proud homeowner and partaker of her neighborhood association.
On Thursday, October 10, 2019, at 2:48 pm, Jeanette answered the call from her Heavenly Father. Her loving memories will be cherished by her daughter, Shirlyn C. Wilson, her beloved grandchildren, Brian Myers, and Terry Wilson, her greatgrandchildren, Jaylen Myers, Jayden Myers, and Jada Myers, her sister, Joan Tabb and a host other relatives, church members and friends.

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ His only Son Our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried. The third day He rose from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
