To My Wife

Remembering you is easy; I do it every day.

It’s the heartache of losing you that will never go away.
No matter how life changes, no matter what I do
You will always be my ride or die, my wife, my friend, my confidant, My lover; I can go on forever about how you have been my rock when There was no one else in my corner.
As each day dawns, I think of you.
As each night falls, I pray for you. And throughout my life, no matter where in my heart you are always there.
Remember that I’m with you every morning, noon, and night.
Now to the love of my life, you fought a good fight, and you can rest... now you can walk through those pearly gates and shine bright like the diamond that you are.
NO WORRIES I GOT OUR FAMILY

Debra Joyce Alexander was born on July 17, 1953, at John Gaston in Memphis, TN, to Mary Louise Ward and Robert Smith Sr. Debra transitioned to her heavenly home on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 3:15 p.m.
Debra confessed her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Gospel Temple on N. Manassas Street. Debra later joined Greater Lewis Street Baptist Church under the late Pastor W.P Dixon, where she was a member for over 25 years.
Debra loved life, as the oldest of 7, with 6 sisters and 1 brother. She was a ball of sunshine from the very beginning. She was adventurous, playful, loving, and oh-so-humorous. She found her purpose and passion in many jobs, from working at a fast-food restaurant to being a daycare provider to working at FEDEX. Debra loved to cook and BBQ for family functions; she was considered the grill master. Debra was always the life of the party, and she never met a stranger because she treated everyone with kindness.
Debra met and married Harvey Alexander III on February 8, 1971, with whom 3 children were born. Her family meant the world to her.
Debra’s parents, Mary Louise Ward and Robert Smith Sr., and brother, Robert Smith Jr., precede her in death. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Harvey Alexander III, 2 son’s Harvey Alexander IV and Shaun Alexander (KITA) and 1 daughter Barbara Jean Alexander, 5 sisters Angela Smith, Eugenia Bell, Regina Prayer, Sandra Fields, and Brenda Smith, and a loving bonus father Essex Eugene Ward, 8 grandchildren Eric Alexander, Kela Alexander, Aaron Alexander, Jeremiah Alexander, Tremayne Spearman, Shaun Alexander Jr., Terri Hall, and Terell Hall with a bonus granddaughter Kierra Mitchell, 6 great grandkids Christian Alexander, Kennedi Redmond, Elijah Brooks, Eric Alexander Jr., Elijah Alexander and Kaome Alexander and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Tributes of Love

Dear Mommy,

Of all the special gifts in life, however great or small, to have you as our MOM was the greatest gift of all. May the winds of love blow softly and whisper in your ear
We love and will miss you, MOMMY, and wish that you were here. Deep in our hearts, your life will forever be kept to be loved and cherished, and not forgotten. No more tomorrows we can share, but yesterdays are always there. A silent thought, a secret tear keeps your memory ever near in our hearts FOREVER.
~Your Children
(Harvey, Barbara, and Shaun)

Debra,
As the eldest, you were our first teacher, our babysitter, protector, and our guide.
You took that guidance into adulthood...mentoring the next generations, your siblings, children, and grandchildren.
Your home was a haven for your offspring, and you opened your heart to many beyond your household.
We love you and miss you every day because there is so much that we would like to say.
If flowers grow in heaven as they do on land, we ask the Lord to take some and place them in your hand.
If tears could build a stairway made from all the pain, we’d walk right up to heaven and bring you back again.
But we know the Lord will take care of you, and we want you to know that you were such a special person and sister to us.
You were a powerhouse of strength and work...and you’ve earned your rest.
Rest well, Big Sis,

We’ll forever love you, Your Sisters
And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.
Revelations 21:4
Auntie Debra,
Laughter, fun, and life of the party.... Never afraid to correct us in the gentlest way... Warm hugs, easy smiles, and kindness... nothing less. You loved with such gentle fierceness that we will always love you for it. Thank you for loving us!
Love Always, -Your Nieces and Nephews
Dear Grandma,
Your love is the kind that never fades gentle, steady, and full of warmth. Your hands held stories, your voice carried comfort, and your lap was our safest place. You taught us patience, kindness, and the magic of simple moments like your backyard BBQ’s that will never be forgotten. Even when you scolded and disciplined us, I knew it was Love. Thank you for every smile, every blessing, every quiet prayer you whispered for us. You are the roots of our strength and the flowers in our heart, and for that we want to say Thank you for all the trials and tribulations; when the world gave up on us, you never did.
Your Grandkids
(Eric, Kela, Tremayne, Kierra, Arron, Shaun Jr., Jeremiah, Terri, and T.J)

Dear Grandma,
Words can’t express how much we will miss you
For all the times I forgot to say THANK YOU

For all the special and little things you do
For all the WORDS that sometimes go unspoken I need to say WE LOVE YOU
P.S.
For all of those special touches you put on our backside (THANK YOU)
Your Great Grandkids (Christian, E. J, Kennedi, and Elijah)

TRIBUTE FROM RAINTREE DRIVE FAMILY
In memory of my living neighbor and spiritual sister. I wake up, I see you. I come home from work, I see you. Before I go to bed, I see you. We have memorable talks and outdoor grills; I see you, but nothing can replace this time that I don’t see you. I will never forget my baby “LULU”. I will always cherish the time we spent together. I love and Miss you so much
