L ife’s Journey of D eborah

On Thursday, September 24, 1959, a beautiful spirit entered the world by the name of Deborah Thompson. She was the second of four children by her late parents, Ocie “Bro’ Man” and Augusta Thompson.
Deborah was a proud graduated of Messick High School, Class of 1977. Her education advanced as she attended the University of Tennessee at Martin. Deborah united with Demetri Chatman, and together, they had a beautiful baby girl. “Livvy” was the gift of Deborah’s life; they were almost inseparable.
Deborah was a kind and loving spirit who could make people laugh, but she could be straight forward as well. She received her spiritual growth at the Olivet Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Kenneth Twigg Whalum, Sr. She joined the Youth Choir after baptism and continued to sing with the Celestial Voices years later. Deborah joined Olivet Fellowship as an adult where she served as a dutiful Ministry Assistant for many years. She was a dedicated employee at FED EX for over 30 years.
On Monday, May 27, 2019, Deborah Thompson-Chatman’s earthly mission was completed, and she was called home by her Heavenly Father. Her loving memories will be cherished by her only child, Olivia Chatman, her siblings; Donna (John) Simpson, Ola (Fabian) Crowe, and Kevin Ocie Thompson of San Jose’, Costa Rica. Deborah also leaves her two lovely nieces Alexis Crowe and Alyssa Crowe of Phoenix, AZ, along with a host of other family members and close friends. She touched many lives during her time on this earth.
