Coloness (Pop) Hines was an only child born on May 6, 1933, in Whiteville, Tennessee, to the late Lester Hines and Louisiana Jarman. He was preceded in death by a daughter Earnestine Scott, two sons Sammie Woods and Bernard Woods.
During his life, he was affiliated with Greater New Shiloh on Maywood Street under Rev. Joe B. Williams and New Salem M.B. Church on Parkway under Revevered Frank Ray.
He worked various jobs until he settled at Conagra Foods in 1965, where he retired after 33 years.
He met Bertha in 1963; they were married in 1965 and spent 56 years together and 49 years in the same home.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Bertha (Moms), one son Bert Coloness, daughter Beverly (Lawrence) Pierce, Vanessa Hines, Sandra Ebrion, Beatrice (Billy) Logan Jr., twentyeight grandchildren, and twenty-four great-grandchildren.
