Clara Jean Stotts

Life’s Reflections

Clara Jean Stotts was born March 7, 1938, to the late Jake Cunningham and Katherine Bradshaw in Memphis, TN. She accepted Christ at New Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend BT Dumas. She departed this life and entered eternal rest at Baptist Memorial Hospital on March 18, 2021.

Clara Jean attended T.W Patterson High School and was a successful entrepreneur owning several establishments throughout the Memphis area. After retirement, she continued to entertain as she loved to cook for her friends and family.

Clara Jean was a lover of fashion-related things, as she loved to shop and could be seen wearing the finest things. She also loved watching Tyler Perry movies and her soap operas. She had unconditional love for her children and family, and she touched the lives of many through her hospitality.

Preceding her in death are two brothers, Andrew Jones Jr., Eddie Lee Jones, and one sister, Joyce Ann Gilland, and her beloved daughter, Doris Jean Williams.

Clara Jean leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 62 years, RJ Stotts, one daughter Carolyn Logan, one son Lorenzo Logan, one sister, Evietta Alexander, two granddaughters; Tarsha Friends and Torrya Berryhill, and two great-grandsons; Tyler Friends and Torrey Berryhill, Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
