Beverly
Annette Lang-Davis was the daughter of the late Lovie Lang, Sr., and Eula Ray Lang( Cruthird). Beverly began her journey here in Memphis, Tennessee, on June 28, 1960. She was born the eighth child of a family of nine.
Beverly departed this life on December 10, 2025, at the Regional One Medical Center of Memphis, Tennessee.
She attended Riverview Elementary, Chickasaw Middle, and went on to graduate from Westwood High School. Beverly attended Southwest Community College with Early Childhood Education as an area of study and Vocational Nursing School, and went on to start a career as a nursing Assistant. But she realized that education was her calling. She worked in this field for over 20 years. The Children’s Cottage Childcare Center was her last place of employment.
Beverly married Kyle Davis, Sr., on April 5, 1980, and from this union, four children were born. She leaves behind to cherish her memories (son) Kyle Davis (Trecia), (twin) daughters: Kristal Waller (Angelia), Marlene Turnbo (Jason), and her youngest (son) Marco Davis (Christina).
She also leaves three sisters: Gloria Preston (Sherman), Jacquelyn Lang-Blake, Patricia Lang-Butcher (Martin), and Adrienne Davis (sister-in-law), but more like a sister.
Beverly was preceded in death by her late husband, Kyle Davis, Sr. (4), and by her brothers, Jimmie Lang, Lovie Lang, Jr., Ronald Lang, and Michael Lang, and a sister, Inez Knowles. Beverly “Grandma,” as she was affectionately known by her seven grandchildren: Jordan Williams, Jeremiah Davis, Marco Davis, Jr (M.J.), Brooklyn Davis, Asher Davis, Ryan Turnbo, and Gabriel Turnbo. Grandma, we will always love you and miss YOU, Grandma.
She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

If Flowers Grow In Heaven
If flowers grow in heaven, Lord, then pick a bunch for me. Then place them in my grandmother’s arms and tell her they’re from me.
Tell her that I love and miss her and when she turns to smile. place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for awhile.
Because remembering her is easy, I do it every day, but there’s an ache within my heart that will never go away.

Never Saw Your Wings”
How is it that I never saw your wings When you were here with me? When you closed your eyes and soared to the Heavens, I could hear the faint flutter of your wings as you left. Your body no longer on this side, your spirit here eternally. I see your halo shine. I close my eyes and see the multicolored wings surround me in the saddest moments and my happiest times.
Mother, my angel, God has given you your assignment. Always, my mother, forever, my angel.
You fly into my dreams when I am asleep. I feel your wings brush against my face, wiping away the tears I shed since I can no longer hold you in my arms, but in my heart.
You earned those wings, dear mother
And you will always be my angel eternal.

“For My Mom In Heaven”
I missed you today. I will miss you tomorrow. Tears in my eyes and a heart full of sorrow. I hold on to the memories of the great times we had. I grieve for what I lost, but I am grateful for what I had.
