Reflections Reflections of Life
Bettye was born in Water Valley, Mississippi, to the late Willie Mae Reed and Joe Caldwell on November 28, 1955. She moved to Memphis with her family, and at an early age, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Calhoun, her brother, Daniel Saulsberry, twin granddaughters Faith and Alexandria Adams, and grandson, Sean Adams, Jr.
Bettye devoted her life to her children as a homemaker, raising three children, Felecia Johnson-Walker, Angela Adams (Sean Sr.), and Melvin Boddie, Jr. (Tamatha). She also leaves behind four brothers, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
