Life’s Reflections

Mrs. Bettie Jean Ross, a radiant soul born on April 26, 1939, in Memphis, Tennessee.

She was the cherished daughter of the late Mr. Jessie White and Ms. Martha Moore.

Bettie attended Geeter High School and work with Dr. Charles Champion at Champion Pharmacy for ten years in the herb dept.

Bettie loved the Lord. She attended Apostolic Faith Temple in Memphis, Tennessee, under the late Bishop Gary Hunt for over 30 years. She continued serving the Lord under the leadership of Pastor Dewayne Hunt at Abundant Grace Fellowship Church until her health failed.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Ross Jr., her parents Jessie White and Martha Moore, two sons Arthur Ross, and Micheal Ross, three sisters Addie Moore, Virginia Moore, Sarah Moore, three brothers Robert Moore, Goldman Moore Jr., Thomas Sylvester Moore.

On Sunday April 19, 2026, her heavenly Father welcomed her home to eternal rest. While we mourn her passing, we celebrate the beautiful legacy Bettie leaves behind.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her beloved daughter Kelli Ross Graham (Carl) of Nesbit, Mississippi; one close friend Ruby Washington of Memphis, Tennessee; one goddaughter Angela Douglas of Memphis, Tennessee; one godson Andre’ Richardson of Fort Myers, Florida; two daughter-n-laws Janice Ross, Valenta Nichols both of Memphis, Tennessee; a host of grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. Psalms 23
