Reflections Reflections of Life

Ann Marie Jones was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on June 21, 1944, to the late Maggie Lou Barnes Glaspie and Andrew Barnes. Ann accepted Christ at an early age and was an active member of St. John Catholic Church, where she served on the Parish Council until her health declined.

Ann graduated from Lester High School. She attended Memphis State University and attained an associate degree from Shelby State Community College. She was a talented and successful owner of a nail salon called Nail’s on the patio for many years; later, she was an educator at Memphis Shelby County Schools.

Ann was preceded in death by her son Corrie Jones and her brother Clarence Glaspie, III. She leaves to cherish her memories forever her daughter Debbie Jan Barfield; one brother Walter Lee Glaspie, Sr. (Cheryl); one sister Linda Gail Glaspie Woodard (Carl); three grandsons, Michael Barfield, Jonathan Barfield, and Christopher Barfield (Jayde); two great-granddaughters Saliyah Barfield and Skyla Barfield; two nephews Clarence Glaspie IV and Walter Glaspie Jr. two nieces Natarsha Brady and Natalie Brady and a host of great nephews, nieces, and cousins.
