You were the wisest, handsome, happy, loving, and strongest man.

Your smile lit up the entire room and your jokes made everybody’s day better. Your presence brought peace, comfort, and warmth, and you were all about the family unit. To know the many accomplishments and amazing memories you left behind shows you lived a wonderful life.

You have taught everyone you came across so many life lessons. You were a philosopher, best friend, mentor, brother, leader, protector, healer, and a loving father. You always said one of the most important qualities to possess was confidence. You embodied this to the core. You said to always remain humble and to keep God first. I know through God, anything is possible and to walk by faith and not by sight. Your wise words of encouragement will forever take us a long way.

Allan Gerard Sanders

(58) was born December 13th, 1960 and was the son of the late Bobbye Hughes and Joe Sanders.

When he dressed, he referred to it as “Sharp”, that was his word.

Allan attended Fairly High School with the graduating class of 1979.

Following, he attended Tennessee State University where he met Tracie Michelle Nash, later married in 1995.

Allan will be greatly missed by his children Joshua Allan Sanders, Kameron Jade Sanders, and Alana Sanders, two brothers, Michael Sanders and Larry Sanders (who preceded him in death), two sisters Beverly Sanders-Taylor, and Sheliah Sanders, and all of Memphis, Detroit, and Arizona. He was a host of many remarkable aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and extended family.

Allan was accepted into Christ at an early age. In Memphis, he attended Coleman Ave Church of Christ.

Allan was a self employed real estate and investor whom loved the water, fishing, cars, sharing words of encouragement, jewelry, being photogenic, music (Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross, Kem, etc), singing, and most of all, being a business man.

Daddy I am going to miss you so much. I am so much like you. The way we eat, our habits, personalities, and I even got your entrepreneurial skills.

You were my roll dog, best friend, and protector. As a little girl Iʼve always looked up to you. You inspired me so much and always will. I never thought this day would come so soon. You are the best daddy ever and I will always be daddyʼs little girl, your honey, and darling. I can hear your voice now saying “make daddy laugh”.... if only I could once more. I know that you are in a better place now and you are with God and grandma. To know that, I am at peace. I love you daddy! Love,

Fairley High School - Class of 1979 Friend Family Acknowledgements Dad, For you to be the strongest man Iʼve met, I never knew something like this would happen. I appreciate the lessons you taught me to be strong, independent, and to always live by the code. You know what I mean pops! I love you man and I am going to miss you so much. I am at peace knowing that you are.

I love the fact I have always had the opportunity to be honest with you. Tell my favorite lady, grandma, hey for me. Now you can fly like an eagle, soar your wings, as I will.
