Alice Stean Campbell, born on December 11, 1953, in the warm embrace of Crenshaw, Mississippi, was a beacon of love and kindness. The beloved daughter of the late Lenell Steele and Katie Mae Davis, Alice dedicated her life to nurturing her family and friends. A cherished Executive Assistant at FedEx, she brought her diligence and warmth to every task.
Her passions included the joy of cooking and the beauty of gardening, where she found solace and creativity. Blue was not just her favorite color; it reflected her vibrant spirit and zest for life.
On Wednesday, December 17, 2025, her loving family gathered to honor her memory, having discovered that she had peacefully departed to be with her heavenly Father. Alice leaves behind a legacy of love, including her devoted son, Ronnie Davis, bonus daughter, Darien Trotter, and her five sisters: Easter Milan, Shirley Wings, Cynthia Farmer (Robert), Isaballa Steele-Jones (Bruce), and Lynna Coleman (Jerome). She is also survived by five brothers: Prentiss A. Steele (Maureen), Tommy Steele, Jimmy Steele, Calvin Bennett, and Lee Edward Bennett.
Alice was a beloved matriarch, a proud grandmother to ten grandchildren, a doting great-grandmother to twenty-five greatgrandchildren, and a host of cherished nieces and nephews. Her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
