RACE MORNING WHEN YOU arrive at Moody Gardens you can park in any of the marked parking lots on the map.

AFTER PARKING, make your way to the Information Tent in the West Lot to check in for your shift YOU WILL THEN make your way to the Transition Area

5:00am - 11:00am 11:00am - 5:00pm volunteers in the second shift should allow plenty of time for parking!

TRANSITION INFO ALL 1,200 ATHELTES are required to drop off their bikes on Saturday, April 1st, so when you arrive, Transition will be full of bikes!

ONLY ATHLETES WITH AN ATHLETE BRACELET CAN ENTER TRANSITION. SOME of the athletes have never competed in a triathlon, for others this is just another race. We want to treat every athlete with enthusiasm and a fabulous TEXAS welcoming smile!

WHAT TO WEAR & WHAT TO BRING Keep in mind that you will spend most, if not all of your time on your feet. Wear comfortable, close-toed shoes, a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and anything else you need to be prepared for the forecasted weather IF YOU HAVE SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS/FOOD ALERGIES PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN FOOD AND S N A C K will S provide water, but if you Ironman would like something in addition to this, please provide your own.

IRONMAN WILL PROVIDE THE TRANSITION VOLUNTEERS WITH PIZZA FOR LUNCH. ASSORTED SNACKS WILL ALSO BE AVAILABLE

WHAT ABOUT THE WEATHER? -We are an outdoor event which means that the event MAY be affected by the weather. This race has experienced temperatures near 40ºF and 95ºF - please come prepared.

-All decisions about the race are made in the moment. If it is raining when you wake up on Saturday Morning, you still need to come to Moody Gardens THIS EVENT WILL HAPPEN RAIN -OR-SHINE!!
