August is the best month of the year to visit Farmers Markets, if you ask me! Freshly-harvested Tomatoes. Sweet Corn, Green Beans, Peppers, Concord Grapes, Watermelon, Peaches....mm, mm, good! Is your mouth watering yet? What kind of Famers Market Shopper are you? Do you do a walk-around to identify the best produce and prices, or do you buy as soon as something catches your eye? Maybe you are like my hubby--his nose leads the way! If you want to check out a new Farmers Market near you, just double click on the photo above, and you'll be able to find ones anywhere you find yourself!

My FAVORITE August Recipe
Sooooo Good! Pasta with Fresh Tomato Sauce INGREDIENTS 2 1/4 pounds unrefrigerated ripe tomatoes 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves 1 tablespoon flat-leaf parsley Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
2 garlic cloves, chopped 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for drizzling Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper 1 pound spaghetti or spaghettini
Directions. Finely chop tomatoes, basil, parsley, and garlic, and mix together with oil (or pulse ingredients, including oil, in a food processor to blend). Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta, and cook until al dente. Drain pasta, and toss it in a serving bowl with the raw sauce.
Seriously! I've been making this recipe every August (and many times each August!) since I first discovered it in a Martha Stewart Cookbook years ago. Having access to fresh tomatoes makes this absolutely delicious! (And it is great the next day, too.) I've added cubed ham, feta cheese, and olives on occasion, YUM-O!! Try it, and let me know what you think!
While I'm thinking 'bout it... Please take just a couple minutes *RIGHT NOW* to complete my month Customer Survey. You can get there, just by clicking on the image. Once a month, one lucky winner will receive a Thirty-One product, gift card, or other treat!

Let Me Help You To Help Others To be honest, when I started my ThirtyOne business four years ago, I knew nothing about its value of generosity. I am so proud to be a part of this company, and have been absolutely stunned by learning how giving it is! Thirty-One's 2021 "official partner" is Girls on the Run. When you click on "Thirty-One Gives Round-Up" as you check out, you partner with GOTR, too! The money you round up goes directly to this young girl-empowering nonprofit. Personally, you and I have helped to give "cheer bags" to essential healthcare workers, send a college student on an overseas mission trip, invested in families in a Pittsburgh community, provide Comfort Bags for chemo patients and "made the Christmas" for the young wife of a cancer fighter, and more! I'd love to help you help your favorite school organization, church group, or other nonprofit! When you are ready for the easiest fundraisers ever, email jennibartling@verizon.net.
Last, But NOT Least! August is my Thirty-One Anniversary Month!! The past four years have been full of fun and laughter and new experiences. All thanks to YOU!! Want to join in on the fun? I'm not going to twist your arm..but just think about the BEST thing that could happen...extra money, working how you want to and when you want to. Oh...and me right by your side!
Join me later this month for our very first TINGO party! It'll be a fab evening of fun and games... with at least $250 in door prizes! (And everyone gets a prize!!) The first 10 VIPs who sign up get to play. TINGO prizes feature five Thirty-One products valued between $14 and $88! This month's TINGO benefits Animal Friends.
