All located along the Pacific Electric Trail, which connects Downtown Fontana to Downtown Claremont, these city-initiated projects will further the City Council’s vision for a unique entertainment, arts, and historic district.

Serving the residents and business community of Fontana is paramount to the plan but the transformation of Downtown into the Forge District is projected to yield an even greater positive impact by attracting visitors from throughout the region.
Redevelopment of land that has been underutilized for decades is a crucial step to the downtown plan. To ensure rapid redevelopment of key parcels, the City completed acquisitions of several downtown properties. Securing these key parcels paves the way for the City to collaborate with partners who share the vision of the potential of the Forge District. As new multifamily developments take root south of the Pacific Electric Trail, attention will naturally shift to exciting new vertical opportunities along Arrow Boulevard, Nuevo Avenue, and Wheeler Avenue.
Sierra Sky Plaza
Sierra Sky Plaza is beautifully designed in the classic Art Deco style, reminiscent of the roaring 20’s of Los Angeles. The choice in architectural style is a deliberate call to action for the Forge District to usher in a new era of entertainment in Fontana. This five-story building will include ground-floor restaurants and retail, mid-floor Class A office space, and luxury apartments on the upper floors, which include a private rooftop amenity for the residents. The project was recently approved and is expected to break ground in late 2025.
Answering the call for the new era, igniting the Forge District as the entertainment hub of the region, the city enlisted none other than its homegrown rock-and-roll legend, Sammy Hagar, to bring the heat. Enter Stage Red, a cuttingedge live entertainment venue that promises an unforgettable experience for fans and artists alike. Equipped with a world-class sound system, state-of-the-art lighting and video equipment, and space for just 450 lucky guests, Stage Red is the Inland Empire’s ultimate destination for live performances. Featuring a mix of rising stars and legendary artists, this one-of-a-kind venue is set to become as iconic as Hagar himself.

The Fontana Economic Development Office actively pursues opportunities to attract, retain, and grow the business community to strengthen the City’s economy and stimulate job growth through a multifaceted approach. The Fontana City Council approved a revolving loan fund aimed at supporting the vitality of Fontana’s business community. Businesses have the opportunity to access alternative financing and loans for various operations like inventory, working capital, or construction.
