West Hills Country Club It Simply Doesn’t Get Any Better.
From The Desk of the General Manager Dear members, On July 4th, WHCC lit up the sky and officially kicked off the summer. Now is the time to enjoy all of the amenities your club has to offer! Please do come out and play a round, check out the merchandise in the pro shop, splash in the pool, hit some balls on the court, sip a cold beverage or enjoy one of our culinary delights. We’re here waiting to serve you and your guests, and we truly look forward to seeing you each and every day. In fact, we’ve updated our 2017 Club Calendar of Events to give you even more reason to spend the day at your club. Chef Patrick will then take you on a culinary tour with WHCC’s ‘Taste of Series.’ Chef will treat you to a ‘Taste Of’ summer on July 19th, Sushi and Sake on July 26th, New York City on August 2nd and Italy on August 9th. On ‘Taste Of Series’ Wednesdays, we will offer a limited version of our regular a la carte dinner menu along with the ‘Taste Of’ menu. Next, we’ve got a Date Night planned on Friday, August 11th. We’ll entertain the kids while Mom and Dad enjoy a wonderful meal, cocktails and some much needed alone time. Our final addition to the calendar is WHCC’s Chopped Jr. Cooking Competition on Wednesday, August 23 rd. WHCC kids will have an opportunity to show us their culinary skills. We invite all members to attend as this is a fun event, and we’ll need judges! Details on all of these events will be coming out shortly, and we are prepared to take reservations now. Additionally, there is an updated 2017 WHCC Calendar of Events included in this newsletter edition to replace the one you received earlier in the year. We’ll also be updating our September and October member events, so if you have any suggestions please let me know. Now, let’s chat about the holidays. I know, I know, it’s summer, but soon you’ll be buried in all of those holiday tasks that seem to consume us in November and December. So, why not book and plan your family and business holiday parties now? Don’t have holiday parties at your house; instead let us do the work so you can focus on your guests. Plan your holiday parties at WHCC where we know you personally and can therefore better serve your guests. Give us a call, and we’ll schedule time to create a party that will WOW your friends, family, colleagues or staff. Finally, if you have feedback or suggestions for any area of the club, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me personally at jcroce@westhillscountryclub.com or stop by the club for a cup of coffee and a chat. Originally from Montgromery, NY, Deidre joined West Hills Country Club when it was still the Orange County Golf Club back in 2009. She started as a busser, moved into a server position, worked the kitchen line as an expeditor, and took on the challenge of learning how to drive the beverage cart around the course.
Deirdre Colarieti
In addition to her job at WHCC, Deirdre is a Certified Nursing Assistant and hopes to continue her education at Rockland Community College. When she’s not working or studying, Deirdre likes to watch and play sports, read, shop and hang out with her friends.
When asked why she enjoys working at WHCC, Deirdre responded that the bond she has with the amazing members and staff make her look forward to coming to work every day! Eight years is a long time to stay with a job, but she grew up at the club and wouldn’t have it any other way. Deirdre goes on to say that she met people who do everything they can to help in any way they can and has many forever friends here. The staff works together so well as a team which makes the work day flow smoothly.
Deirdre, WHCC is lucky to have you on their team, and we look forward to you being here for many years to come. You regularly put a smile on so many of our member’s faces, and they truly look forward to seeing you in the dining room or rolling on the beverage cart on the course.
