Dear LCC Members, The air is crisp, leaves are falling, hot cocoa is swirling and fall has arrived. As sweaters and slacks replace polo shirts and shorts, LCC is pleased to provide activities to fill your fall calendar. Join us in October for two Prime Rib Nights, A Taste of Fall, A Taste of Germany, Halloween Family Fun Night and our new Pasta Night. In November, we will feature Prime Rib Night, LCC’s Caddy Banquet, Pasta Night, Thanksgiving Eve Buffet and we’ll even go down under for A Taste of Australia! In September, members enjoyed Prime Rib Night whilst tapping their toes to Stuck in the ‘60s. C’est si bon and très bien best describe what members experienced during A Taste of France! Authentic French aromas filled the air while frogs legs, bouillabaisse and sautéed dover sole meunière delighted members of all ages. A Taste of Greece brought with it some of the finest culinary treats served at LCC this season. We then celebrated Rosh Hashana with over three hundred members, families and friends. And, we finished the month off with our Art and Music Gala featuring local artists and musicians who filled the dining room with incredible arts, crafts and sounds. A special thank you to LCC’s very own Daren Coleman whose band dedicated “What A Wonderful World” to Joe and me. We were truly touched. Moving from the dining room to the accounting department, we have had many members sign up for our new electronic funds transfer program. This service allows LCC to pull your monthly payment directly from your bank account so you don’t have to worry about writing a check or licking a stamp every month. If you are interested in this new member service and have not yet signed up, please contact the accounting department so we can get you started today! Finally, the staff and I would like to thank you for your continued support of LCC. We enjoy seeing you on the course, on the courts and in the dining room. As the season winds down, please continue to keep LCC on your calendar when you and your family are making your plans for the fall and winter. It is October and the leaves are starting to turn and the golf course is looking as beautiful as ever! The Greens were recently aerified and have had great weather to heal and return to form. This fall looks to provide an outstanding opportunity to enjoy your great golf course and facilities. Our Inaugural Losantiville Cup was a very enjoyable event that concluded with victory for Team Red! The event started with a pairings party on the Veranda at the Clubhouse Lawn, which was a very exciting way to start the event, by drafting the teams and creating the pairings and matches for the weekend. Team Red, which was led by captains David Buckner and Sally Cuni and advised by Chad Gilligan won the match over Team Blue, which was captained by Deb Altman and Scott Mattis and advised by Steve Krehbiel. The players that were invited to play were the leaders of the 2014 Losantiville Cup Points lists. The winners from Team Red are: David Buckner, Sally Cuni, Keith Spiller, Ken Goode, Les Suna, Susan Routh, David Hoguet, Fred Skurow, John Fox, and Bob Weil. Team Blue consisted of the following: Deb Altman, Scott Mattis, Miles Altman, Jim Hagerty, Dan Sohmer, Sally Hiudt, Blake Niemeyer, Ivan Tamarkin, Jon Chaiken, and Josh Lewis. Congratulations to all the participants for a year of exceptional play!! If you need anything at all please do not hesitate to ask any of the Golf Shop personnel as we would be happy to assist you! Congratulations to our LCC Caddies who have been nominated and have applied for the 2015 Evans Scholarship! Carson Gritton, Robby Heywood, Alex Badinghaus, and Tommy Clontz have been exceptional caddies and we wish them the very best in the long process of attempting to earn this very prestigious scholarship from the Western Golf Association!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Stone McCall, son of Mike and Annette McCall, and a Sophomore at Moeller High School won the Crusader Classic at Hickory Woods Golf Club with a score of 72. Stone was the Medalist for the event which hosted 95 players from some of the best golf teams in the state.

JUTTA DUNCAN In 2003, the local newspaper on Jutta’s table just happened to flip open to the help wanted section where she spotted the LCC advertisement for a housekeeper. Jutta got dressed and joined a bunch of women who were waiting to be interviewed. Mr. Keith hired Jutta on the spot because she had been a housekeeper for many of our members. Jutta worked so hard that she became the Housekeeping Manager and replaced an entire department of three staff members! That work ethic certainly comes from Rheine, Germany where Jutta was born near the Dutch / Holland border. She attended Bevergern High School where she graduated at 14 years old. She then went onto Rheine College in Rheine, Germany where she earned a degree in Business and Accounting at the age of 16! Her father couldn’t have been happier when his 16 year old daughter decided to study nursing with a large group of nuns who ran a hospital in Cologne, Germany. This was not Jutta’s forte and with only six months left to earn her degree, she left the nursing program and moved to Berlin, Germany where she met her husband who was 82nd Airborne stationed in Germany. In 1980, Jutta came to the states when her husband was transferred. Jutta and her husband had three daughters, Melissa Webster who owns a daycare center in Greenhills, Latisha Johnson who runs Human Resources for Bank of America in Charlotte, NC and Alitta Duncan who is a Surgical Assistant at Mercy Fairfield. Jutta is the proud Grandmother of six grandkids, Kayla, Alisha, Mariah, Bryden, Cammeron and Michael who many of you know as he has been a LCC caddie for three years. With her children and grandchildren all being US citizens, Jutta took it upon herself to study for and earn her US citizenship five years ago. Travel? Yes! She has traveled to North Carolina and Ft. Lauderdale. Jutta also took a cruise that allowed her to visit Jamaica, Mexico and Bahamas. Back in the day, Jutta could be found traveling on her purplish-blue Kawasaki 1200 or hot-rodding in “Goldie” her 1985 Corvette! Jutta used to spend most of her free time sewing, landscaping and cleaning (her favorite thing to clean is a window!!) However, like most of us the electronic age has pulled her from many of her hobbies, and she is now addicted to the computer! But, she has not given up cooking and is always ready to whip up some schnitzel, goulash or roulade which she shares with the staff during our shutdown period….we’re all looking forward to January so we can once again indulge in her culinary treats! In the wee hours of the morning, through the steam of the laundry room, you will find Jutta readying the clubhouse for our members. That is because her favorite part of working at LCC is taking care of the members’ needs, wants and desires. Jutta also can’t get enough of the beautiful view of the golf course. After a long season at LCC, Jutta says she is looking forward to the winter shutdown so she can recharge and recuperate for the 2015 LCC season!
