From the General Manager’s Desk Dear Club Members, As snow falls and wind whirls across the golf course, we close our eyes and envision the sunny days and picture perfect course that await the members of Losantiville Country Club. It has been an extremely cold winter, and we have been readying the clubhouse and course in anticipation of our members return. At a time of year when we are typically “shut down” and enjoying “down time,” we are instead having committee meetings, detailing the clubhouse, improving the course, hiring a Golf Pro, beautifying the pro shop and awaiting our members return to their Club. The Membership, Long Range Planning and Golf Pro Search Committees have been meeting over the winter. The Membership Committee is looking at several ways to accommodate existing members and attract new members. While the Membership Committee is looking at 2014, the Long Range Planning Committee members are focusing on the long term planning that will move the Club to the next level and keep it moving for many years to come. The Golf Pro Search Committee really had their work cut out for them with over thirty Head Golf Professionals applying for the position. In just under thirty days, committee members were able to narrow down the candidates, conduct nineteen interviews and hire a Head Golf Professional. These committee members exhibited the passion, drive and tenacity necessary to complete the task at hand. The clubhouse and course have been worked on during the entire time the Club was closed. In the clubhouse, we have repaired damage that was caused during the sub-zero temperatures. We have installed insulation, shampooed carpets, painted several rooms and created a maintenance punch-list of items to improve once the weather warms up. Gary and his team have improved the course by replacing trees behind the 3rd green that were damaged during the storm in June, repairing staircases near the 2nd and 10th tee, and moving forward the bunker behind the 6th green. The Pro Shop is currently being painted and reconfigured per our new Golf Pro’s specifications to create a more appealing Pro Shop that will allow him and his team to better service our members. We are anxiously awaiting our members return and look forward to seeing each and every one of you at your Club! Cheers,

Chad Gilligan Dear LCC Members, After combing through over 30 PGA Class “A” Pro portfolios and conducting 19 interviews, it is with great pleasure that we introduce to you our new Head Golf Professional, Chad Gilligan. Chad was born and raised in Newark, OH. He earned his Associate of Arts Degree from The Ohio State University in 2003. Chad’s golfing career has been absolutely exceptional. Early in his career, he was an Apprentice PGA Golf Professional at Longaberger Golf Club in Nashport, OH. In addition, Chad has been a First Assistant PGA Golf Professional at some outstanding properties including Pinehurst Resort and Country Club in Pinehurst, NC, Reynolds Plantation – Great Waters in Eatonton, GA and most recently at The Cincinnati Country Club in Cincinnati, OH. We are very excited to offer Chad his first Head Golf Professional position. Chad has several career achievements including the 2013 Southern Ohio PGA Assistant Golf Professional of the Year, Professional Advisory Staff member with Titleist and Foot-Joy, 2013 Member of the Golf in Schools Task Force in the Cincinnati Chapter of the Southern Ohio PGA, 2010 & 2011 President’s Council Award for the Georgia PGA, 2010 & 2011 Member of the Georgia PGA Play Golf America Committee, 2008 & 2009 Tournament Director for Area V of the Carolinas PGA and 2008-2012 member of the Golf Business Network. Chad also assisted the Tournament Office with the US Amateur Championship, (4) North and South Amateur Championships and (4) US Kids World Championships which hosted over 1500 juniors annually. He also helped facilitate the 2004 National PGA Club professional Championship as well as the Northern Regional Qualifier for the event in 2002 while at Longaberger Golf Club. Chad has numerous PGA Section Tournament Wins including the 2012 Gift of Life Pro-Am at Moraine CC, 2009 Pinehurst Professional Staff Championship at Pinehurst No.2, 2009 McGladrey Pro-Am Section Championship at Kiawah Island, 2009 Methodist College Invitational at King’s Grant Country Club, Pinehurst Professional Staff Championship at Pinehurst No. 2, 2008 Pro-Pro Best Ball Championship at the CC of North Carolina and the 2006 Oakley Pro-Am at Pinehurst No. 6. On a personal note, Chad and his beautiful wife, Kristin, were married in Pinehurst, NC in 2007 and have recently purchased a home in Loveland. No stranger to Ohio, Kristin is originally from Newark, and is the Recruitment and Talent Coordinator for Systems Evolution, Inc. Chad and Kristin have a five year old daughter, Taylor, who was born in Pinehurst, NC and enjoys gymnastics and dance. Outside of golf, Chad’s family enjoys spending time together and engaging in sports. Please join us in giving the Gilligan family a warm Losantiville Country Club welcome!

We understand that some of our members have been inquiring about their Golf Shop credits, given that these were the responsibility of our departing golf professional. Please rest assured that the Board has decided to honor the credits in full in the Golf Shop of our new Head Golf Professional, Chad Gilligan.

Kathy Brady Kathy Brady, LCC’s Assistant to the Controller, was born and raised in Hyde Park. She studied at St. Ursula Academy in Walnut Hills and received her Associate’s Degree as an Accounting Technician. Prior to joining LCC in November, 2012, Kathy worked as a Cashier at Cambridge Inn, a Bookkeeper at Sullivan Electric, a Bookkeeper / Treasurer at Brady Electrical Contracting, a Software Installer / Support Technician for ComputerEase and a Controller / Human Resources Representative at Dollman & Bohl General Contractors. Outside of Ohio, Kathy has traveled in the USA, Canada and Mexico. She is involved with animal rescue and is currently caring for six furry felines; Winnie, Lucy, Muffin, Thumper, Tawney and Panda. Kathy enjoys gardening, movies, animal rescue and the National Football League. Although Kathy is a Bengal’s fan, she says, “….they didn’t make it easy this year…” Kathy’s favorite part of working at Losantiville Country Club is the small, casual atmosphere. She is happy to be out of a cubical and a corporate environment. The Losantiville Country Club community is very fortunate to have Kathy on the team. Thank you, Kathy, for the hard work you do on a daily basis!
