Dear Members, Greetings! We have just completed a very active month at the Club. Daily course activity equated to 2003 rounds for the month not to mention the Men’s and Ladies’ Invitationals. Regarding tennis, I received the greatest call from our Pro, Jasen Hansen, just the other day. He informed me that for the past two weekends, all six courts have been full, and we’ve gone to a twenty minute waitlist several times to accommodate all players. This has not happened at LCC for the past twenty years, and we couldn’t be happier to see Jasen growing the LCC Tennis Program 2014! The pool and gazebo have been a wet and wild fun spot for children and adults alike in the month of June. On a personal note, I’d While the outdoor activities were in full swing, the service staff was busy in the dining room where we served almost 1500 a la carte lunches and dinners in June. Our Passport Party / Guest Day brought in over 75 members with 11 potential members. Thank you to each and every member who supported that event. Our Father’s Day cookout was a great success with 119 members and guests joining us to celebrate Dad, enjoy the cookout and slide down the slip and slide at the kid’s area! We served 47 members and guests during June’s Sunday Brunch and had 21 members join us for Date Night. Mama Mia were we busy on Italian Night when we had over 63 members twirling pasta, listening to Frank Sinatra and sipping red wine. Finally, our most elegant event of the season thus far was the Art and Music Gala. We had over 15 artists and musicians present Including our very own Daren Coleman! I’d like to give a special thanks to Gayle Laible who helped arrange the artists for us on very short notice. The artists were so pleased to exhibit their work at LCC that they were literally taking their art off of the walls around Cincy to display at LCC where they sold numerous pieces of artwork and have all asked to come back to our next Gala. With all of the hustle and bustle of the season, we have still been able to do some much needed maintenance around the property. For instance, the caddy shack has been cleaned, painted, logoed and is waiting to be beautified with foliage and a fence. The main clubhouse is being scraped, power-washed, caulked repaired and repainted. We are taking the “hidden” out of the beautiful little hidden gem that is Losantiville Country Club!
like to thank Scott and Sheryl Mattis as well as Keith and Amy Spiller who took me to my first Cincinnati Reds Game. What a blast! Much to our delight, Fred and Karen Abel and their family members were seated right next to us in the stadium. A special thanks to Alan and Shelley Tarshis who were able to help us find some delicacies around the city that we have been missing since we moved here. Thanks and Yummy!

As I am writing this we have just completed our Men’s Invitational and it was a great success! We hosted the Ladies Invitational about ten days ago and every player left with a smile on her face. Thank you very much to all 100 players that participated in these important and exciting events at your club! The member’s website is being updated on a continual basis and we hope that you’ll be able to find all of the information that you need through this outlet. We are posting Losantiville Cups Points, Tournament Results, new photos, and much more to allow the website to be current, accurate, and a trustworthy source of information. The Golf Shop is stocked for the season and we are continuously adding new product. In the coming weeks we have new lines coming from Travis Mathew, Bobby Jones, and Cutter & Buck for the men and EPPro and Cutter & Buck – Annika for the women. Also, if your golf grips are becoming a little worn try a little soap and water to clean them. If that doesn’t work we have a number of grip options in the Golf Shop for you to select from. ...Jen and Chad took the bulk of this effort and made it happen in a way that appeared to be effortless. From greeting players at their cars through moving tables into the shade at the last minute; from chilled towels that kept everyone going in the heat to a spectacular buffet that resulted in rave reviews and compliments to Chef – it was all done with graciousness and smiles. We continue to set a standard noticed by other clubs and appreciated by our members.
Jen. The food was outstanding. My guest is a big foodie with a discriminating palette and was very complimentary of it all. I know your staff was tired from a long day the day before. Please let them know the phenomenal job they did today.

Robin Berman Robin joined LCC as a part-time bartender four years ago and was offered a Bar Manager position this past September! Prior to joining LCC, Robin worked in human resources as an Operations Admin for Amazon, in sales for Chevron/Texaco, in event sales and bartending at the Ludlow Bromley Yacht Club and as a bartender at Flannigan’s Landing. Robin was born in Cincinnati OH at the Jewish Hospital. She attended Oak Hills High School, received her undergraduate degree at Miami U and earned her Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis on both Organizational Behavior and Law & Criminal Justice from Xavier. Robin has a son, Alex (23) and a step-daughter, Isabella (4). She enjoys boating, hiking, playing sports, horseback riding, tending to her goats, bunny, cows and horses, cruising on her Harley 883 Hugger and relaxing on her Massey Ferguson tractor. On a rainy day, you’ll likely find her curled up with a good book. Robin, a lover of sunshine and sandy beaches, has traveled extensively to places such as Belize, Hawaii, The Dominican and the Riviera. When asked where her favorite place is, without hesitation, she cheers, “Kentucky!” This would certainly explain why her favorite football team is the UK Wildcats, but she doesn’t forget to give a shout-out to the Cincinnati Bengals. When asked what Robin likes about working at LCC, she says that she loves to see all of the positive changes that are occurring. She notes that she likes watching the club evolve and is excited about being part of the transition. Most of all, she says that she enjoys her members. She loves talking to the members and getting them to commit to upcoming events at LCC.
