Losantiville Country Club June 2014 Newsletter

Page 1

Dear Members, The summer has officially kicked off at Losantiville Country Club! We had over 1700 rounds of golf played in May which is double the play we saw in April. Our tennis courts have been busy on a daily basis with member play and lessons with our Tennis Pro, Jasen Hansen. The pool opening got off to a great start over Memorial Day weekend with over 214 members and their families attending LCC’s festivities. With the cookout, pool games, petting zoo and cocktails at the gazebo, there was something for everyone. In addition to LCC’s play being very active, the dining room has been filled with music, laughter and wonderful aromas from the kitchen. We served over 1600 a la carte lunches and dinners in May which is 500 more than April. Our Derby Day party drew in a crowd of members who dined on a buffet, sipped mint juleps and cheered for their favorite horses. Mother’s Day Brunch was a huge success with 363 members joining us to celebrate Mom. Many members enjoyed our Beer and Wine Flight Night which featured tapas style food paired with craft beers and specialty wines. Our Friday night Nine and Dine was attended by 20 members who were delighted that the event was not cancelled for lack of participation as it had been so many times in the past. Our second Date Night proved to be as wonderful as the first with members and their children having a great time and enjoying a Saturday evening on the town. The best part of May was the number of amazing comments we received as well as the positive buzz that is making its way into the Club and local community. Please read the comments that were received from new members, outing guests and existing members. Also, watch for the GM and Golf Pro press releases in Hyde Park Living, Sycamore Living, Cincinnati Enquirer and American Israelite publications. You can read samples of those press releases later in this newsletter edition. It is our intent to get the word out into the community that Losantiville Country Club is THE local club to join! As always, we appreciate your continued support and will be looking for you at the Club. Cheers, Jennifer.

Member Feedback from Memorial Day The Club is in its full glory. I’m proud of my Club for the first time in a long time. The traditions of LCC are being brought back to life. This reminds me of when I used to come here as a child. The snack shack and half-way house look great! The staff seems happy and bubbly. The pool area and bathroom are so clean. Thanks for installing the slip resistant tiles at the half-way house.

As the business grew, Norm and Wendy ran Wendy’s Bridal for twenty-eight years and had as many as eleven stores at one time! Some of our biggest and best events are just around the corner. We have both the Men’s and Women’s Invitational events in June and we hope that you’ll bring out a friend or colleague to show off your great club and golf course. I am certain that both events will be an excellent representation of the outstanding golf course, creative food and beverage menus, and detailed tournament operations that we have here at Losantiville. Losantiville Cup points are being earned with every shot you make during the Tournament Season. New for this year is the Losantiville Cup! What do you have to do to get in?
