Jennifer Croce General Manager The 2015 golf season is in full swing at LCC and the Cincinnati arts and cultural scene has kicked-off downtown. This month’s artistic cover is a reminder that you can combine your downtown cultural experience with your CLUB. Enjoy easy parking and a relaxed dinner at LCC prior to hitting the downtown scene on a Friday or Saturday evening. Then, visit your CLUB after the event for late-night drinks, snacks and desserts. You’ll be pleased to see some upgrades when returning to your CLUB this season. We are completely refinishing the interior of the swimming pool. The work may be a bit noisy and unsightly but will lead to a much nicer swimming complex for you, our members, and your guests. We have just completed an upgrade in the Tennis Pro Shop. The paint has dried on the walls and the fresh new carpet is secured on the floor. Members won’t even recognize the new and improved tennis shop. Please stop by, say hello to Jasen and learn about one of the nation’s fastest growing sports. And, talk about things that are growing fast. We are pleased to announce that twelve new members have already joined LCC for the 2015 season and the sun isn’t even shining on our beautiful course yet. Once the sun appears, we will tempt even more new members to sign on. As part of our membership drive, we will have announcements appearing in Hyde Park and Sycamore Living magazines in April and May. We’ve included a color copy of a similar announcement on the back page of the newsletter. Please share the announcement with a friend or colleague, have them include your name on their application and receive a credit equivalent to one month of their dues. Coming up in April, we will be featuring Seder Dinner and Easter Brunch. Our much requested Pasta Night will return and the LCC Taste of Series continues with A Taste of Spring. In May, join your friends at LCC’s first Prime Rib Night of the season. Later in the month, gather friends and family to celebrate Mother’s Day and Memorial Day. The grass is looking greener, the trees are starting to bud, and the temperatures are rising. It must be Spring!! The Golf Staff is excited to be back and are ready for the 2015 golf season. We have a number of improvements that are in store for you this season and we hope that you’ll be out to see us very soon. Some exciting new tournaments, a launch monitor to assist in fitting you into proper clubs, fun and new lifestyle and golf products in the Golf Shop, and more instructional options greet you as you return for 2015! The Full 2015 Golf Calendar is finalized and has been released. To view the Golf Calendar you may visit www.losantivillecc.com or click here. You will see a green circle with a white flag and pin when an event is open for sign-up and you can click on the event from the calendar. Tournament registration has opened for quite a few events in May and typically we will open registration 3-4 weeks in advance of a tournament. The Men’s League is a new event for 2015 and should be some fun evenings of golf. We will play on Wednesday nights with a 5:30pm shotgun start. The season starts May 6th and depending on how many teams we have for the league it will end in early September, at the latest. We skipped at least one week per month to allow some time off from this season long event. The format will be a best ball of two, match play versus your opponents, in a round robin format. You may sign up individually, as a two person team, or you may have three players per team, to allow for flexible scheduling within teammates. The entry fee for the year is $50 per player. Tournament Club will kick-off this month as well and should be another great season of camaraderie, competition, and prizes. We have altered some of the formats to add to the enjoyment of the Club. If you were a member of Tournament Club in 2014, you will be automatically renewed, unless you opt out by April 25 th. New for the women in 2015 will be our weekly organized 9-holes on Thursdays. You may sign-up online or in the Golf Shop and we will pair you for the 10:00am tee-times or shotgun start. Our clinic schedule will allow you to join the morning golf clinic, take a brief break, and then enjoy 9-holes with your fellow members. We have planned a great trip April 17th-19th for our members to head to the Great State of Kentucky! We still have room, if you are interested! We are heading through Lexington, Bowling Green, and Louisville, and back. We are playing the top two courses in Kentucky as well as some of the best in the United States. On Friday, in Lexington, we will play a classic Donald Ross course at Idle Hour Country Club. Then to Bowling Green to stay two nights in the luxury cottages at The Club at Olde Stone as well as to play unlimited golf on Saturday. On Sunday, we will head to play Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville on our way back home to Cincinnati. I can’t wait! The Golf Staff is very excited to get the season underway and can’t wait to see you out enjoying the Club and having fun!
