It simply doesn’t get any better.

Dear Agawam members, This past month started off with a bang as July 4th fireworks lit up the sky in Providence and it ended with some heat as Agawam juniors compete in our inaugural Jr Chopped! Competition. August will bring with it a busy social calendar featuring Sunday Night Family Meals to include Prime Rib Night, Luau & Lawn Game Night, Pancake Dinner and Buffet & Bingo. Continuing our ‘Taste of’ series, Chef and his culinary team will feature A Taste of Asia. Later in the month, you can jump in a golf cart and join us on the course for movie night. Finally, the clubhouse will rock with an ‘80s dance party featuring DJ Valentina! After Agawam members have all of this fun, we will close the club on Tuesday, August 30th so we may celebrate the Agawam staff on Employee Appreciation Day. Thank you for allowing the staff to sleep in and then enjoy a day at the club with their families. The ladies and gentlemen of the Agawam team are very much looking forward to their day of fun!

Once the staff is all rested up, they’ll be ready to kick-off September for their members. And it’s a good thing because the Agawam Kid’s Committee has a fun-filled Labor Day week planned featuring Junior Spa & Sports Night, a Talent Show and the AH Labor Day Cookout & Carnival. Please support the Agawam juniors by signing up to be in the talent show or to create and host a booth at the carnival. After Labor Day weekend, we’ll continue our ‘Taste of’ series with a Taste of Italy, A Taste of Tapas, A Taste of France, and by special request, A Taste of Wine and Chocolate. Finally, please join us for AH Sunday Family Meals in September including Joe’s Famous Fried Chicken, Land & Sea, Prime Rib and Bingo & Buffet.

On a less happy note about September, there is a wedding booked over Labor Day weekend which will cause the pool to close at 2pm on Saturday, September 3rd. Unfortunately, this was booked prior to my arrival, so I can only apologize that this event was booked over a holiday weekend and assure you that this will not happen going forward. We thank you in advance for understanding and hope that the numerous activities surrounding the Labor Day weekend will make up for the pool closing.

An Agawam member who visits my office frequently asked what he could do to support Agawam. He noted that his friends were already members of Agawam and that he was ‘too old’ to bring in any new friends!

After I finished chuckling, I asked him if he was on social media. After he finished chucking, he asked me if that meant Facebook. Long story short, he is on Facebook, so I told him he could LIKE and SHARE the posts we put on Facebook to gain us a larger local audience and perhaps future members. He ‘LIKED’ the idea and thought I should ‘SHARE’ it with the rest of the membership. At his request, we are asking that all Agawam members support their club by ‘LIKING’ and ‘SHARING’ us on Facebook. Thank you!

As you are all aware, Gray Carlin will be leaving Agawam on July 31st. We wish Gray the best as he starts his journey across the country and abroad. A very special thanks to Gray for his service and dedication to the Agawam members.

11:00AM—2:00PM Calling all Juniors 6-16 years old Agawam Hunt and RICC have teamed up for a Junior Field Day. Pool Games, Lawn Games, Food & Beverage, Prizes, Awards and Lots of Fun! If you are interested in joining the AH swim team next year, this will be a great time to meet the future competition.

If not, it’s also a great day to just have fun!

There is no cost to participate in this event as AH will host a similar field day (minus the pool!) in the fall 2016.

Please join me in thanking the members of the kid’s committee who worked very hard on creating a new kid’s menu and new kid’s activities at Agawam!

We truly appreciate each and every one of you, and can’t thank you enough for assisting with shaping the future of Agawam Hunt!

Sports Camp Sports Camp is designed for children ages 7 and up. Our second session runs two (2) weeks this summer: August 15 – August 19, and August 22 – August 26. Campers will have the choice of full or half-day schedules offering Golf, Tennis, Squash and Swim.

Junior Camp Junior Camp is designed for children ages 4-6 and aims to offer a fun and traditional summer program! Junior Camp promises to be fun for young children! Each day, campers will participate in structured half-hour lessons offered by our golf, tennis and squash instructors and will also receive swim lessons from our certified lifeguards. Additionally, campers will have plenty of time to have fun and form lasting friendships while playing
