COWBOY’S PRAYER Our heavenly Father, We pause, ever mindful of the many blessings you have bestowed upon us. We ask that you be with us at this rodeo, and we pray that you will guide us in the arena of life. We don’t ask for special favors, we don’t ask to not draw a chute fighting horse, or to never break a barrier, nor do we ask for all daylight runs, or not to draw a steer that won’t lay. Help us o Lord to live our lives in such a manner, that when we make that last inevitable ride to the country up there, where the grass grows lush and green and stirrup high, and the water runs clear, cool, and deep, that you, as our last judge, will tell us that our entry fees are paid.
Commitee Members & Executive The following people dedicated many hours to help put this rodeo on: President: Derek Goodbrand Vice President: Neil Davis Treasurer: Jennalee Beutler Secretary: Donna Raiwet Committee Members: Peggy Stevenson, Dean Armstrong, Jacquelyn Davis, Charlie & Nicole Bear, Krista Jorgensen, Cole Raiwet, Chris Decelle, Kristen Finkas, Morgan Davis, Colleen Bear, Ronny Delarue, Kyle & Sam Steen & Megan Marshall
Presidents Message Welcome to the annual Whitewood-Chacachas Rodeo. None of this could happen without the outstanding committee members who thanklessly donate their time for everything from cutting grass, building , fixing, to organizing the kitchen and beer gardens. Our new members, Sam, Kyle, Megan and Ronny, have gone above and beyond for their first year! I would like to thank all of our committee, old and new, it’s easier to make it happen with a great group! White Line Rodeo & Ward Macza, sponsors, fans and contestants - you are the remaining spokes in the wheel that have kept us rolling for 26 years now! Our rodeo has come a long ways from the days when it was held out along the No. 1 highway. On behalf of myself and the Rodeo Committee, we hope you enjoy yourselves and also hope to see you again next year!
President, Derek Goodbrand
Greetings from the Town of Whitewood On behalf of Whitewood Town Council and our entire community, it is my pleasure to welcome everyone to the 26th Annual Whitewood/Chacachas CCA Rodeo. Whether you’re a longtime rodeo fan, a competitor, a volunteer, or visiting Whitewood for the first time, we’re thrilled to have you here for one of our community’s signature summer events. The Whitewood/Chacachas Rodeo is much more than two days of exciting competition. It is a celebration of our western heritage, our agricultural roots, and the strong community spirit that defines Whitewood and area. Every year, countless volunteers, sponsors, organizers, and local businesses work together to make this event a success, and their dedication is what keeps this tradition thriving. This year’s program once again promises outstanding Canadian Cowboys Association rodeo action, family-friendly entertainment, great food, live music, and opportunities to reconnect with friends and neighbours. Events like this bring people together, support our local economy, and create lasting memories for residents and visitors alike. I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the Whitewood/Chacachas Rodeo Committee, the many volunteers, sponsors, contestants, stock contractors, and everyone who has contributed their time and effort to make this weekend possible. Your commitment ensures that Whitewood continues to be recognized as a welcoming community that proudly celebrates its western heritage. While you’re here, I encourage you to take some time to explore Whitewood, support our local businesses, and experience the hospitality that makes our town such a special place. Thank you for joining us. Have a safe, enjoyable weekend, and best of luck to all of the competitors. Welcome to Whitewood, and enjoy the rodeo!
Warmest Regards, Chris Ashfield, Mayor of Whitewood

Bolt-On Mechanical Broadview Bakery Can Am Travel Stop NAPA RM of Willowdale WL Meats A huge Thank You to all of our sponsors…. without your support this event would not be possible!! IN MEMORY OF DOUG STEVENSON Doug Stevenson May 8th, 1954 - March 24th, 2026 We want to take a moment to acknowledge the contributions of our longtime committee member, Doug Stevenson. Doug made many lasting relationships while working at the Can Am, and through those relationships was instrumental in persuading the Department of Highways to install a light pole at the access road, which brought power into the Rodeo grounds. He was always willing to lend a helping hand on the many projects that transformed the rodeo grounds from a bare piece of land into what you see today. Each year, Doug made sure the arena was worked. Even after stepping away from the committee, he continued to support the rodeo by helping his wife Peggy, our kitchen co-ordinator. Whether it was delivering supplies, picking up last-minute items, or volunteering where ever he was needed, Doug was always there. Doug’s dedication, generosity, and sense of humour has left a lasting impact on our rodeo family. We shared many good times, and plenty of laughter with him, and he will be deeply missed. In Doug’s memory, a duffle bag will be awarded to the highest bidder in the calcutta each night.
