COWBOY’S PRAYER

Our heavenly Father,

We pause, ever mindful of the many blessings you have bestowed upon us.

We ask that you be with us at this rodeo, and we pray that you will guide us in the arena of life.

We don’t ask for special favors, we don’t ask to not draw a chute fighting horse, or to never break a barrier, nor do we ask for all daylight runs, or not to draw a steer that won’t lay.

Help us o Lord to live our lives in such a manner, that when we make that last inevitable ride to the country up there, where the grass grows lush and green and stirrup high, and the water runs clear, cool, and deep, that you, as our last judge, will tell us that our entry fees are paid.

Presidents Message

Welcome to our annual Whitewood/Chacachas Rodeo. None of this could happen without the fans, sponsors, and the talented contestants. We are very grateful for your support and entries. Special thanks to all of the volunteers who help out all year and on Rodeo Weekend.

We are proud and excited that 2025 marks our 25th anniversary - what an accomplishment!! Our rodeo has come a long ways from the days when it was held out along the No. 1 highway and each year we continue to make our facility better!

We are excited for the Indigenous Dance Troupe to kick off our Anniversary event on Friday for a pre-rodeo show! We are also excited to welcome back Shaya Istace, from Whitewood, for the second year - she will provide beer garden entertainment during slack! It will be another weekend of family fun!!

On behalf of the Rodeo Committee, we hope you enjoy yourselves and also hope to see you again next year!!

President, Dean Armstrong

Greetings from the Town of Whitewood

On behalf of the Town of Whitewood, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 25th Annual Whitewood/Chacachas CCA Rodeo!

The Whitewood/Chacachas Rodeo has become more than just a local event — it’s a gathering of neighbours, families, visitors, and rodeo enthusiasts from near and far who come together to enjoy top-notch competition, entertainment, and small-town hospitality.

This milestone year is a testament to the hard work of our volunteers, sponsors, organizers, and supporters who’ve helped grow this event year after year. Whether you’re here for the thrilling rodeo action, the concessions, entertainment, or the chance to reconnect with friends old and new, I encourage you to soak in the excitement and celebrate everything that makes Whitewood proud.

Thank you for joining us. enjoy the festivities, and here’s to another 25 years of rodeo tradition!

Warmest Regards,

Chris Ashfield, Mayor of Whitewood
