Press Association Weekly Journalist of the Year Noon - 1 p.m. Lunch on your own • There are several great lunch options in DiGiorgio's food court! 1 - 1:45 p.m. Collaborative Workshop: Sensitivity in Reporting on Specialized Issues As student journalists, we may encounter sensitive issues that require a different approach than a typical news or ACT story. Join staffers of The Johnsonian and The Roddey McMillan Record for this collaborative workshop session to discuss the challenges and potential solutions when handling stories relating to race, disability and other sensitive issues that may pose a challenge for student journalists. Presenters include Ainsley McCarthy, editor-in-chief of The Johnsonian, Ravyn Rhodes, editor-in-chief of The Roddey McMillan Record, and Taylor Sallenger, graduate assistant for student publications. 1:45 - 2:45 p.m. Roundtables You are welcome to stay in one roundtable the full hour or split between two at the 30-minute mark!
