A NOTE FROM JENI

I’ve always believed eating ice cream is one of the most beautiful experiences you can have. It’s why I’ve devoted my life (more than 20 years of it!) to making amazing flavors and resetting the standard for how good American ice cream can be.

The holiday season is my favorite time of year because our ice creams, while great on their own, are so perfect for pairing with dessert. Instead of using gums, stabilizers, and emulsifiers, we work with milk proteins from super fresh dairy to create the most wonderful body and texture the ice cream world has ever known. Our ice creams are designed to melt a very specific way—perfectly into the nooks of any cake, cookie, or pie—and to release scent while you’re eating them, like an edible perfume.

This whole catalog is full of ways we love to enjoy and share our ice creams with friends and family. Like bourbon-spiked Boozy Eggnog with mini pecan pie tarts. And Sweet Cream, which tastes like the best-ever frozen whipped cream, paired with a simple apple tart (on page 17). Or presented on a Sundae Board—our dessert version of a cheese board (turn to page 12 for more).

Jeni’s is a community of devoted people who come together to make incredible ice creams in flavors that spark curiosity and bring people together. As a certified B Corp, we work in tandem with family-owned farms and dairies—from the Ohio countryside and beyond—to turn the best ingredients we can find into ice cream. Like pumpkins, sweet potatoes, and strawberries grown just for us by fourth-generation Ohio farmer Mike Hirsch.

Great ice cream starts with expertly raised, minimally processed milk. From the very beginning, we’ve worked with a small network of family-owned dairies in Northeast Ohio to source quality, grass-pastured milk. And to churn fresh dairy into ice cream.

Every bite of Dark Chocolate Peppermint is like a rush of cool air.

Palate-gripping dark chocolate ice cream packed with Fair Trade cocoa is infused with crisp peppermint oil for a flavor overflowing with holiday cheer. Enjoy Dark Chocolate Peppermint on its own, with your favorite holiday dessert, or add a scoop (or two!) to hot cocoa.

We’ve worked with the coffee experts at Chicagobased roaster, Intelligentsia, for years. They source high-quality, Direct Trade coffee that folds beautifully into cream. Like the Black Cat Espresso beans—with rich flavor and caramel undertones—we use to make coffee ice cream.

This flavor tastes exactly the way a fresh pot of brewing coffee smells. We capture that aroma by steeping beans from the coffee pioneers at Intelligentsia directly into cream. Then add a swirl of lush Sweet Cream ice cream.

To create a rich and flavorful pumpkin ice cream you need pumpkins that turn impossibly nutty and sweet when roasted. Like the kabocha and buttercup pumpkins our longtime farm partner, Mike Hirsch of Hirsch Fruit Farm in Chillicothe, Ohio, grows just for us.

Pumpkin 5-Spice is a savory blend of roasted pumpkins with cream and warm spices: ginger, fennel, cinnamon, star anise, and white pepper. Pro tip: try it with a graham cracker crumble!

Our longtime partners Brady Konya and Ryan Lang of Middle West Spirits in Columbus, Ohio, hand-select barrels of whiskey and bourbon just for us to blend into balanced, booze-forward ice creams. Like Ohio red-wheat whiskey for our signature Middle West Whiskey & Pecans. And the four-grain wheated bourbon—a complex spirit that’s soft on the palate with a little spice and a clean finish—we use to spike holiday favorite, Boozy Eggnog.
