2013 Season Recap

January: Cavallino Classic 22 Concours d’Elegance FOCNER members fly to Palm Beach for a 6 day gathering for Ferrari owners and enthusiasts includes a two-day track meet at Palm Beach International Raceway, Jet Aviation Hanger Party, Concorso d’Eleganza on the front lawn of the Breakers Resort Hotel, Yacht Hop & Brunch and Classic Sports Car Sunday’ at Mar-a-Lago. www.focner.com

February: F-12 Unveiling at Miller Motorcars FOCNER members were invited to an exclusive cocktail party at Miller Motorcars to preview the new F-12.

April: Service & Tech Day at Wide World Ferrari-Maserati Every Ferrari owner loves to get an oil change, tires rotated and the chance to meet one on one with a technician to talk Ferrari in’s and out’s. Well that is exactly what happened at Wide World Ferrari-Maserati.

April: Rally & Runway After a warm welcome and breakfast hosted by Murphy Brothers Contracting, FOCNER members rallied to a private runway in Walkill, NY. Members took their cars to the runway and opened them up. After building up an appetite, guests enjoyed a catered lunch.

June: Concours d’Elegance Real Estate agent Barbara Zaccagnini opened up a home on the market and hosted a gourmet breakfast.

After a good start to the day members hopped in their cars and rallied to the Greenwich Concours d’Elegance to view hundreds of classic cars on display.

June: Mashomack Polo 16th Annual Mashomack International Polo Challenge was the destination after a rally from Greenwich to Wide World Ferrari Maserati where breakfast was served upon arrival. FOCNER members then received preferred parking in the Ferrari Corral at the polo grounds. The day catered lunch during the polo match followed by a champagne reception and award ceremony.

July: Ferrari Challenge at Lime Rock Parl A gather at Wide World Ferrari Maserati for breakfast was followed by a FOCNER rally together, up to the track at Lime Rock. FOCNER members were granted preferred parking in the Ferrari Corral at Lime Rock and then were given the opportunity to do a Parade Lap on Track! The day included the a catered lunch, premium seating & all VIP access at Lime Rock

September: NetJets Breakfast & Greenwich Cup at Polo After enjoying a great breakfast at The NetJets hanger, members headed to Greenwich Polo Club to The Greenwich Cup. Ferraris, along with other classics & exotics filled the field at Greenwich Polo Club in Conyers Farm. After an exhibition Rugby match, the polo players took the field to compete for the Greenwich Cup. The day included a car show, children’s playground, catered lunch, Davidoff Cigars & a fashion show, all took place on this warm Sunday afternoon. www.focner.com

September: GrandAm Race at Lime Rock Park the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series championship-deciding season ender is at Lime Rock Park! The feature race showcases the same cars that race in the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. The Daytona Prototypes – Riley, Dallara, Lola and Corvettes powered by BMW, Chevy, Porsche and Ford engines – do battle at the same time with GT-class cars: the fire-breathing Corvettes, Porsches, BMWs, Mustangs, Camaros and Mazda RX-8s. Also on tap are the showroom stock cars in the popular Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, where virtually every automaker is represented in the Grand Sport (GS) and Street Tuner (ST) classes. Members get VIP parking and access to the VIP Hospitality tent which includes a catered lunch.

November: Holland & Holland Clays, Cigars, Whiskey & Wine Gentleman's day of Sporting Clays" hosted by Holland & Holland of London, at Dover Furnace in Dover Plains, NY. The day began with a breakfast hosted by Carriage House Motorcars followed by a rally to Dover Furnace.

Once everyone arrived at the shooting grounds, Holland & Holland presented their new line of Men's & Women's clothing, along with their finely crafted shotguns which FOCNER members used to shoot sporting clays with.

After shooting sporting clays members headed in to eat some delicious BBQ and finally have a Davidoff Cigar and Dalmore Whiskey tasting. www.focner.com

November: Art of the Automobile- Sotheby’s Auction Preview Sotheby’s extended a very special preview tour of the "Art of the Automobile" auction. A private tour of the collection followed by an expert symposium and a cocktail reception .

Sample Event June 19 Track Day at Monticello Motor Club 8am - Meet at Delamar Hotel / L'escale in Greenwich, CT for breakfast & check-in 9am - Rally through the country to MMC 11am – 11:30: TECH of cars going on track 11:30 -12: Checkout rides for solo candidates (we will have each solo-qualified driver fill out a form. Depending on their backgrounds, we may have some people go out for a check-out ride with an instructor) 12-1pm: Lunch, presentation 1-1:15pm – Solo drivers prepare for track 1:15-2pm – Open track for solo drivers (we will have each solo-qualified driver fill out a form. Depending on their backgrounds, we may have some people go out for a checkout ride with an instructor) 1-2pm – Beginners in classroom 2-2:40 – Beginners on track, solo drivers have track classroom discussion 2:45-3:30 – Open track (solo drivers), Beginners in classroom 3:40 – 4:20 – Beginners on track 4:30 – 5pm – Open track (solo drivers) 5 – 5:30 – Open track all cars (if beginners are ready and with approval of instructor to all run together)
