Jem Sirrine
Jem Sirrine serves as the Team Lead of the PGA/ECR team for International Customs Clearance at FedEx Logistics in Memphis, Tennessee. He has been with the organization for nearly three years, where his duties encompass everything from liaising with governmental agencies to training new agents. He is responsible for troubleshooting issues with high-value shipments, analyzing and resolving problems promptly, and ensuring that all shipments comply with necessary regulations. His efforts also include developing training materials and procedures to enhance efficiency within the team. Jem started his career as an athletic training intern for the Cleveland Indians in Winter Haven, Florida, after completing his bachelor's in athletic training at Appalachian State University. During his internship, he assisted in rehabilitating and treating player injuries across both minor and major leagues. Following this, he became a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of Central Florida, where he earned a Master of Arts in Exercise Physiology. In 2000, Sirrine worked as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Winter Park High School. He coordinated with the Head Athletic Trainer to provide coverage for varsity and junior varsity sports, including pre-practice treatments and rehabilitation. He supervised athletic training interns and taught Personal Health, Fitness, and Team Sports courses. Later, he took on the role of Head Athletic Trainer at Warner University in Lake Wales, Florida. His responsibilities included overseeing 16 varsity sports, managing the department’s budget, working with orthopedic surgeons, and teaching courses related to Athletic Training and First Aid. Jem then worked as an athletic trainer for Bond Clinic in Winter Haven, where he helped grow the orthopedic department, formed new community partnerships, and offered athletic training services to schools.
