CONSTRUCTION INTERIOR

House Proclano Village of Raslina Reconstruction of old stone cottage from 17th century into two story house, with PRESERVATION OF ALL FOUR STONE WALLS, except gable part of upper walls, with added TRADITIONAL WHITE FORM onto them. The idea came from environmental reconstructions of old houses in which only one or two walls would be preserved, in a form of part of only ground floor. The excuse of owners are that they want to preserve part of their history, but the reconstructions would ''eat up'' that history. Lower level was used for living space for 7 residents, and was divided into sleeping and eating space. New purpose is small studio apartment for guest with bathroom, kitchen and sleeping space. Upper level is a prefabricated white traditional form apartment, with one bedroom, and terrace with view. The stairs are hanged from metal frame. The lead to small entrance terrace, and into kitchen, and dining room and living room. The terrace can be entered from dining room or bedroom. The bathroom and bedroom are separated from daily part of apartment. Old walls are stripped of old binding material, and filled with concrete, to toughen the 70cm wide walls. Then onto upper side of walls, the coronal steel beam is added, and onto beam, the steel frame filled with prefabricated isolation panels. Wall windows in living room, kitchen and bedroom are overlapped with roof windows. In front of living room and bedroom in garden is 50 years old tree, that makes a good shadow onto house, especially during summer days, so users have impression they are in tree crown. The window in kitchen is for view onto lake Prukljan. Materials are simple white walls, and parquet, wooden and steel stairs, and aluminium black windows.
