Commercial Warranty R

R

Effective 6/16/2026

This Warranty covers window and door products manufactured by VPI Quality Windows Inc. (“VPI”) and sold for installation in a multi-family or mixed-use building (“Product”). VPI will provide for repair or supply a replacement part for any Product it confirms to contain a defect in materials or workmanship that causes a significant impairment in operation or performance, as detailed below. This Warranty covers the original purchaser of the Product from VPI through the original owner of the building into which the Product is installed. The Warranty will transfer one subsequent building owner for 5 years from substantial completion of the building. Frame/Non-Glass Components For 10 years from substantial completion of the building, VPI will at its option repair or supply a replacement part for a Product with a defect in the frame or non-glass component. VPI will provide skilled labor for 2 years after substantial completion of the building. Skilled labor is defined as repair or replacement requiring special training or tools to complete. From 3 to 10 years after substantial completion of the building, VPI will provide replacement parts only with shipment to the building where Product is installed. Glass For 20 years from substantial completion of the building, VPI will supply a replacement insulated glass unit (IGU) for seal failures or interpane dusting/misting, which causes obstruction of vision. For years 1 through 10 years after substantial completion of the building, VPI will include both parts and labor for IGU failures. For years 11 through 20 years after substantial completion of the building, VPI will supply a replacement IGU only, without consideration for labor. Laminated and Monolithic glass are covered for 5 years after substantial completion of the building. Stress cracks to be warrantied for a period of one year from date of original installation, as long as a clear edge failure point can be defined by a VPI representative. Finishes For 10 years from substantial completion of the building, VPI will at its option repair the finish or supply replacement components for Product with factory-applied finish that peels, blisters, or flakes under normal use and conditions. Hardware Hardware is limited to one-year parts only replacement coverage, FOB Point of Origin, against corrosive failure, only if proper maintenance is performed as noted in VPI’s Care & Maintenance Manual. Natural weathering of hardware exterior finishes is not covered under warranty. Labor and Freight All Parts, FOB Point of Origin, and all related shipping costs are the responsibility of the Original Purchaser/Customer. Warranty labor to be contracted with an approved VPI service provider. VPI is not responsible for repair or replacement of materials or components other than the VPI Product. Replacement parts may not be an aesthetic match to the original. If VPI determines that repair or replacement is not practical or cannot be timely made, it may refund the VPI sale price of the affected Product in full satisfaction. This Warranty is not extended by any service, cannot be assigned, and can only be modified by a writing signed by an officer of VPI. This Warranty does not cover, and VPI shall have no liability for, conditions related to or caused in whole or part by: Product aging, normal wear and tear, misuse or abuse; lack of care or maintenance; discoloration or weathering which causes surfaces to gradually fade, chalk or darken; or Product that has been removed and reinstalled. Storage, handling, or breakage; damage to Product from any external source. Installation of Product, building movement or settling; an application exceeding design capacity or violating code or project specifications; Product installed in a non-vertical plane or removed and reinstalled; Product built outside standard size limitations; alteration or modification of the Product; Product not paid for in full. Individual Product variation in any tested performance results. Minor imperfections or wavy distortion in the glass that do not impair structural integrity. Wavy distortions or color differences caused by interlayer of laminated glass or heat strengthening are not defects. Heat build-up (e.g. films, storm windows, storage in uncontrolled containers, solar heat reflection); or use of solvents or exterior finishes. Product exposed to caustic chemicals (e.g. brick wash) or airborne pollutants. Condensation on any outer surfaces of the IGU, both to the interior and exterior of the building. Insect screens. Damage and or replacement are sole responsibility of Original Purchaser/Customer. Any rips, tears, discoloration, deformity, sizing and or frame integrity issues, etc. are not covered by Warranty. See local VPI window dealer to purchase replacement insect screens. Damage, Operation, Structural Integrity, Finish, and/or Hardware issues caused by Acts of Nature such as, but not limited to Earthquake, Fire, Volcano, Hurricane, Tsunami, etc. VPI uses structural galvanized steel components in the manufacturing of its products. These steel components are designed to be in dry cavities, however, due to the extreme conditions, any discoloration of the steel is not covered.

Deep Backset Animation R

The VPI™ Endurance™ Series window system, which has demonstrated proven performance on thousands of mid-rise and high-rise structures across the United States, is now available with two perimeter frame depth options: 3-1/2" and 6". The 6" Deep Backset Frame uses the same internal components and fabrication methods as the standard 3-1/2" frame, and delivers the same excellent performance and vast continuous frame design possibilities. Both frame options can have integral nail fins located at 1" and 1-3/8" setback from the face of the frame; the 6" Deep Backset Frame has an additional option located at 3-7/8". If desired, or the conditions require it, both frame systems can also contain strap anchors for installation at the head and/or jambs, with or without a nail fin.

Providing Solutions and Value With its variety of nail fin locations, the 6" Deep Backset Frame allows for more placement options within a wall, and an improved way to integrate surrounding materials that can save both time and money. If recessed glazing is desired, the 6" Deep Backset Frame simplifies a common approach to achieve it while reducing the complexity of higher-risk waterproofing details and, on its own, providing highly desirable shadow lines.
