It doesn’t get much bigger than this.The Jeff DavisYellow Jackets (17-5, 12-4 region) and Bacon County Raiders (14-3, 12-3 region) collide today in a GHSA Region Rivalry Doubleheader at Lady Jacket Field, with first pitch set for 4:00 p.m.

Separated only by a county line, the Jackets and Raiders share one of South Georgia’s most heated rivalries.

Familiar foes in both region play and the postseason, the two programs know each otherwell, and the stakes are always high.

Series So Far:

Jeff Davis struck first earlier this week with a 5-1 victory on Sept. 23, relying on its pitching and defense to frustrate Bacon County’s normally potent lineup. The Raiders, averaging more than six runs in wins, will be eager for revenge as they aim to even the series.
