St. Cecilia Academy Rose Gala 2022 honors
Katherine Higgins DeLay '80NASHVILLE, Tenn. (February 9, 2022) — St. Cecilia Academy will host The Rose Gala on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 7 p.m. at the Hillwood Country Club. The Rose Gala is St. Cecilia Academy's largest fundraising event, this year benefiting current year operations and instructional technology support.
The Rose Gala brings together the extended SCA community - current and alumnae parents, alumnae of SCA, and friends of the school for an evening of fun and fellowship that supports the young women of St. Cecilia Academy. Since tuition alone does not cover the total cost of educating a student, the funds raised at this event ensure the continued strength of SCA’s exceptional academic and student life programming, co-curricular offerings, and facilities upgrades, thus providing an environment where every girl can thrive.
The 2022 Rose Gala honoree will be Katherine Higgins DeLay, SCA Class of 1980, a fourthgeneration alumna who loves St. Cecilia Academy and the Dominican education she received. Daughter of the late Judge Thomas Aquinas and Geraldine (Gedy) Higgins, Katherine has been a faithful friend and supporter over the years, and SCA looks forward to celebrating with her.
The evening will begin with a private Patron Party, followed by dinner, live auction, and dancing. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in an online auction the week before the event as well as a premier silent auction on the evening of March 5. The night will conclude with a live auction where several big-ticket items, including vacation packages and signature experiences, will go up for bidding with the help of guest auctioneer Thomas Mattingly.
This year’s Rose Gala chairs include parents Suzie Epstein, Nikki Crosslin, and Deana Cavanaugh, along with many other parent volunteers who have spent countless hours gathering sponsorships and exciting auction items. St. Cecilia is grateful for their time and talents that make every detail special.
