Get ready f or the upcoming Flag League by joining us in our flag clinic. We will go over skills, drills, and team sportsmanship for all players to understand the flag rules as they get ready to compete in our recreational Flag Football League.
The league will start in Late August. Each team will need a volunteer coach. Practices will be one day a week and games on weekends. Jerseys and flags are included in the registration fee. Registration will open up early May! Registration will be available in our new system-Civic Rec (more information to come on how to register).
Teams may have up to 10 players per roster. The league will run for 8 weeks.
You may register per team or a free agent.

Parks & Recreation Board
The Park & Recreation Board reviews and recommends policies, fees, administrative and budgetary matters to the Village Board. The Park & Recreation Board meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month in the Village Hall Council Chambers. Meetings begin promptly at 7 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend.

Monday, May 29
The annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony to honor and remember our American Heroes will be held on Monday, May 29th. The parade will begin at Pratt and Cicero, east down Pratt to Keeler and then north to Morse and ends at Madeleine’s Garden in Proesel Park where a ceremony to honor the fallen will take place.
Parade begins at 10:20 am. Ceremony immediately follows the parade.
The Lincolnwood Parks and Recreation Department is seeking local organizations, businesses, and residents to be a part of the parade. Participants can walk, drive, ride, or march in honor of those that gave their lives for our country. If you are interested in participating in the parade, please email Kandice Newton, Recreation Supervisor at knewton@lwd.org.

Calling all actors! Led by artists from Northlight Theatre, Build a Play teaches theatre skills such as voice, movement, and imagination with an emphasis on collaboration and play. Students will work together to create a new play inspired by a familiar story or themes. The program culminates in either a live performance or short video for friends and family.

Chess Wizards has been teaching the game of chess since 2002. Join us this summer for tons of challenging chess lesson, exciting games, and cool prizes. You’ll improve your chess skills, meet new friends, and work out your most powerful muscle – your brain! Our camps include fun team chess games (like corner chess), recess time, snacks, tournaments, and puzzles. Each camper receives a T-shirt, trophy, and puzzle folder. We include all the materials necessary for your child to participate, but full day kids should bring a lunch. Unleash your brain power and spend part of your vacation with Chess Wizards!

Buddy Baseball is an inclusive baseball program for players aged 6-22 with special needs. Register at lwbuddyball.org.
Come out with friends or get to know new ones! Come in for a pampered night at the Spa. Our staff leads the event with teaching manicures and pedicures with a toe and nail polish application. Each person gets a foot/nail brush, cuticle stick, and mini buffer to use and take home. Fun summer colors and nail sticker in cool summer choices. A charm anklet will be made with a great bead selection. Our class ends with some music and high energy dancing as a fun finale. A spa goodie treat goes home with everyone! Care Pass:
The Care Pass is for Resident and Non- Resident families that have a caretaker/nanny/babysitter for their household for whom they would like to get a pass for the summer. The Care Pass is a separate pass from the Family pass. This pass is used only when the caretaker is with the family with which the pass is associated with Care passes are billed at the individual pass rate based on the household's residence status. Care pass holders must be 16 years of age or older. Care passes may not be used for individual entry.

Swimming is an important life and safety skill. The LW SWIMS team is committed to teaching this important skill in an enjoyable environment. This summer there will be nine weeks of lessons meeting twice per week for weekday lessons! Each swimmer will be assessed on the first day of lessons to determine appropriate level placement. Please sign up for what days and time works best for your swimmers' schedule!
There will be three dates available to make up swim lessons. Swimmers are allowed to make up one class per session. Please check our website for details.

M3A Diving provides a Learn-to-Dive program, as well as a competitive diving program. The coaching staff has a combined 30+ years of experience in competition diving from the local high school to the national level.

The Lincolnwood Lighting Swim Club (LLSC) is a competitive swim program for ages 6 and up. This 12-week summer program begins in May and will provide fun and challenging training for all levels. Training ranges from 4 hours (novice) to 12 hours (advanced) per week. Additionally, there will be intersquad and summer league (northern IL. Swim Conference) meets. LLSC is not a learn to swim program and all new and returning novice swimmer need to be able to swim at least 25 meters unassisted in deep water and complete a one-hour group try out practice.
All participants not currently on a year-round competitive swim team must attend a tryout. Tryout information will be posted on the Lincolnwood Lightning website (lwswim.org) for more information.
Practices are scheduled to begin May 15: please double check the swim team website prior to attending for weather and pool updates. Fees include meets, trainings, a team cap and a tshirt. Optional gear is available online at www.lwswim.org.

You can register for programs at lincolnwoodil.org — it’s fast and easy! Simply enter your username, password, and follow the user-friendly directions. Not sure of your login information? Place your completed registration form in a sealed envelope in the 24-hour brown drop box located in the front of the Municipal Complex in the circular drive. Checks and credit cards only. Make checks payable to the Village of Lincolnwood.
Registration forms are processed on a frst-come, frst-serve basis. To register for a class you must complete a registration form including participant name and program code number(s). One family per registration form. All classes have minimums and maximums. Sign up a minimum of two weeks prior to the start of the class to avoid class cancellations.
The Lincolnwood Parks & Recreation Department is committed to providing high quality recreation programs and services. We want everyone to be satisfed with their recreation experiences. If you are not completely satisfed with our programs or services, please contact us as soon as possible.
General refunds will be granted when requested fve full working days before the start of a program. All refunds are subject to a 10% administrative fee and will be mailed in the form of a check within 4-6 weeks of your request.
We understand that there may be a time when the program you registered for didn’t match your needs. If that is the case, we encourage you to share your feedback, ideas and suggestions for improvement as soon as possible. If we are unable to work through it together, we will refund you for all the classes not attended less a 10% administrative fee.
Should you need to discontinue the program due to an illness, emergency, or relocation, we ask that you submit proof of relocation or a written medical explanation from a physician. Upon receipt, we will refund for all the classes not attended less a 10% administrative fee.
In the event a program does not meet minimum registration, the class may be canceled with full refunds issued.
Due the large amount of information included in each season brochure, errors may occur. There may be last minute changes in days and times of classes, registration requirements, and fees once the brochure has gone to print. You will be advised in a timely manner of any changes. We thank you for your patience and understanding.
Photographs and videos are periodically taken of participants while they are engaging in programs, special events, or enjoying the parks. Please be aware that these photos and videos may appear in local newspapers, Village publications, cable access program or on the Village website.
Since 1972, M-NASR has provided and facilitated recreation programs and services for children, teens and adults with disabilities.
We are an extension of the park districts in Des Plaines, Golf-Maine, Morton Grove, Niles, Park Ridge, Skokie, and Lincolnwood’s Parks and Recreation Department.
M-NASR offers a wide range of recreation programming, both in person and virtual. Programs include athletics, adaptive sports, camps, cultural arts, social opportunities, special events and much more. M-NASR’s full time recreation staff have therapeutic recreation backgrounds and all programs are designed with the cognitive, psychological, social and physical needs of participants in mind.
M-NASR programs are offered throughout our member districts. M-NASR participants may register for all programs regardless of location and transportation is available to select programs.
