t is our distinct privilege to inform you that the Eta Chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa moved into #2 Fraternity Row on January 25th, just in time for the spring semester and spring rush!

This news, coming less than three years after the beginning of the colonization process, a little more than ten months since the re-chartering event, and just ten months into our “Six Columns” Capital Campaign, we feel extremely fortunate that this house became available and that we were in a position to act on this opportunity. That we were able to immediately accept the University's offer of #2 Fraternity Row is due to your remarkable and tremendous support of our Alumni Association and for our Capital Campaign.

We hope you and your family can join us for our Open House on April, 21, 2012. We look forward to showing you what all your support and efforts have made possible, and to sharing with you in our pride in the return of the Eta Chapter to Fraternity Row. To help you to get the most out of your visit to the University of Maryland, we have prepared this Guide to let you know what is available during our Open House event.

Tours of the Chapter House

Be a part of history and join us to see our New Chapter House at #2 Fraternity Row. We will be providing “rolling” tours of the house and will have light luncheon fare and refreshments, as well as live entertainment and games for young and old. Get an early look at the 2012 Terps Football Team during their annual Red-White Intra-Squad Football Game at Capital One Bank Field at Byrd Stadium. On your way to the stadium stop by and see the other Phi Sigma Kappa landmark on the College Park campus, the gates at the entrance to the Dessie M. and James R. Moxley, Jr. Gardens at the Riggs Alumni Center.

Alumni Gathering at the Oracle Lounge

Join us to "meet and greet" with friends both old and new, discuss the new house, and dissect the Red-White game. The Oracle Lounge serves light fare and sandwiches, complete with a full bar. The Oracle Lounge is located on the Lobby Level of the Conference Center building of the UMUC Marriott. As you enter the Lobby from the front entrance, turn left just beyond the Starbucks to enter the Oracle Lounge.

2012 Physics Olympics The University of Maryland Physics Olympics, founded in 1979

by John Layman, is held annually in the month of April at the University of Maryland Physics Department. Teams from high schools in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia compete in eight events to determine the championship school.

Opening Ceremony: 9:00 am Closing Ceremony: 2:00 pm and finishes by 3:30 pm Bridge Building (Small Lecture Hall 1410) Egg Drop. The team constructed Egg Preservers will be dropped by the judges at about 12:00 P.M. from a window of the building.

Surviving eggs will earn points for the dropping team.

Sunday Services of every denomination can be found very close to the UMUC Marriott. Please consult the Marriott Reception desk for additional information and directions.

The Garden Restaurant is located on the Lobby Level of the Conference Center building of the UMUC Marriott and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner (casual attire is recommended).

Ledo’s, a Terp Tradition since 1955 is a great place for lunch. The original restaurant was opened in 1955 by Tommy Marcos, Sr. The family moved the restaurant to their new location in College Park and it is still owned and operated by Tommy, Jr. and Jimmy. A landmark for years, serving famous pizza and other specialties, it is now located at 4509 Knox Road in the heart of Downtown College Park (www.ledorestaurant.com).
