KCCC MISSION STATEMENT
To promote health, wellness, and camaraderie by presenting participants with physical endeavors designed to challenge their bodies and minds through the spirit of corporate competition.
As President of the Board of Directors, I would like to be the first to welcome you to the 47th season of the Kansas City Corporate Challenge!
As many of you know, since the inception of the games in 1980, the Kansas City Corporate Challenge has strived to promote health and wellness across the community as well as networking between the hundreds of companies that have participated in the games. Because of you, the Kansas City Corporate Challenge has been recognized as the largest and oldest games in the country.
As with all things in life, we are only as strong as the support systems we have around us; the Kansas City Corporate Challenge is no different. The games do not happen without the support of all the amazing people involved on so many different levels. Thank you to our presenting sponsor, PNC Bank, and the many companies who make it possible to keep the games going every year. It is due to these generous sponsorships that we are able to keep our relationships with the vendors and venues that we rely on year in and year out to house our events, give out medals and awards, and supply volunteer t-shirts and all of the various items needed to make sure we are providing the best possible experience we can. We will never be able to thank you enough for all that your sponsorships allow us to do!
The support does not stop with the sponsorships; the countless people that donate their time and energy to the games every year is something that has honestly always had me in awe. There is a passion for these games, and we see that in every company coordinator, volunteer, ambassador, and board member that selflessly gives their time to ensure that the games go off without a hitch. I have had the honor to work with and meet so many amazing people over the years that share a love and a passion for the games. I know this passion not only inspires me, but so many others to keep competing, volunteering, and encouraging others to be their best in all they do.
For me, my favorite thing about the games is seeing the joy on the faces of people who come out and compete. Whether they hit a PR on the bench press or hit the target once out of every arrow during archery, the personal victories that happen at every event are what make the games special to everyone involved. I will paraphrase a statement that was shared with me at the end of a season by fellow board member, Rebecca Earp: although we are at the end of another season, many new memories were made, and this is what the games are all about. The best part of the season ending is that we get to kick off a new one.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and Ambassadors, we look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones in the 2026 season of the Kansas City Corporate Challenge.
Ace Sims President, Board of Directors

The KCCC Board of Directors, representing companies from throughout the Kansas City area, governs the Kansas City Corporate Challenge. These Board Members are not permitted to participate as athletes in the Corporate Challenge while serving on the Board, but have the knowledge to provide valuable input from the companies’ perspective, making the Games the best they can be. In addition to the specialized area that they direct, each Board Member is a part of the overall decision-making process that governs the entire KCCC. Our thanks to these individuals and to their companies for allowing them the time to be a part of our organization.
If your company would like to have a representative on the 2027 Kansas City Corporate Challenge Board of Directors, please contact our office at kccorporatechallenge@gmail.com.

The KCCC Ambassadors and the eyes and ears of the Board of Directors. Representing participating companies from throughout the Kansas City area, the KCCC Ambassadors may participate in the Games. An Ambassador is someone who encourages participants of all skill levels from all companies, supports the event officials, enforces event rules when necessary, provides feedback to the Board regarding companies that would be eligible for the Spirit and Sportsmanship Awards based on witnessed activities, and serves as a volunteer providing event assistance and administration. As experienced “KCCC Veterans”, they serve as mentors to new company coordinators. All suggestions and information provided to the KCCC Board of Directors by the Ambassadors will be considered, and it is certain that their involvement will greatly enhance the KCCC experience for all participants. We are very grateful to the following Ambassadors for their service and to their employers for allowing them to be a part of our organization.
If your company has someone interested in serving as a KCCC Ambassador, please contact the KCCC office at kccorporatechallenge@gmail.com.

those involved each year in the Kansas City Corporate Challenge. The award is named for the late Alex George, founder of the Kansas City Corporate Challenge. It represents the values he demonstrated in his various sports activities, namely a competitive spirit, a selfless dedication to amateur athletics, lifetime physical fitness and good sportsmanship. Below are excerpts from the winning recipients’ nomination letters.

The Alex George Award recognizes athleticism, resilience, dedication, selflessness, and sportsmanship –all qualities Grant Zebold possess.
As company coordinator, Grant not only motivated his team but also successfully coordinated efforts across three firms, boosting participation and helping the team move from 9th place in Division H last year to a top 4 finish in Division G.
A natural leader and fierce competitor, Grant began the season strong but suffered a torn ACL in the opening game of Flag Football. Remarkably, this injury didn’t stop him – he still competed in events like soccer, the 5K, weightlifting, swimming, and track. Grant anchored the sprint medley to a 3rd place finish and the 200-freestyle relay to a 1st place win.
He selflessly supported teammates by volunteering at track, cheering swimmers, and even showing up early on a Sunday for horseshoes to earn participation points.
His drive, leadership, and unwavering support have been instrumental to the team’s success this year.
