McKenna Bizal (Ensemble) is so excited to be back at TIP for her 5th show! Outside of performing, McKenna is a dance teacher, choreographer and soon to be Child Life Specialist at Children’s Mercy. Olivia Canovi (Ensemble) is thrilled to be back at TIP for her 2nd season! She is currently a sophomore receiving her BFA in Musical Theatre at Webster University’s Sargent Conservatory!!! Olivia cannot wait for everyone to see the hard work the cast has put into the show!
Reece Dickerson (Peterson/Ensemble) is a recent graduate from Drake University, achieving a BFA in Musical Theatre and a BS in Computer Science. He grew up in Overland Park and is thrilled to be back at TIP for another summer!! @reece_dickerson

Gary Lezak (Book Voice) From his earliest memories, fascinated by clouds and storm systems in the calm weather climate of the western San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, Gary Lezak’s passion for meteorology ignited at the tender age of five. This profound interest led him to pursue a Bachelor of Science Degree in Meteorology at the University of Oklahoma, where a fortuitous break transformed an internship at a local Oklahoma City station into the launchpad for a distinguished 40-year career in television meteorology and continuing today on various social media channels.
Gary’s life & career took a pivotal turn when he developed a groundbreaking scientific technology now patent pending and utilized by businesses worldwide to harness accurate weather data for strategic planning and profitable decision-making. Weather 20/20, the enterprise Gary founded, stands at the forefront of this innovation, offering weather decision solutions that enable businesses to prepare for weather impacts weeks to months in advance, rather than just a few days. Charlie Lynn (Johnson/Ensemble) is ecstatic to be back at TIP for his second show after previously performing in Anything Goes (Sailor). He is entering his sophomore year at TCU, where he is pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre. Big thanks to his family and friends for their gracious support.
David Martin (J.B. Biggley) Back outdoors for the first time since portraying Applegate in D*** Yankees! in 2013. Indoor crowds may remember him from Young Frankenstein (The Monster). Ethan Miller (Twimble/Womper) is thrilled return to TIP after a 20 year hiatus. You may have seen him at Summit Theatre Group in God of Carnage and If/Then. Come eat at Nick and Jakes. Love to Mom, Raleigh, and Jenny.
Fran Opheim (Ensemble) is thrilled to be stepping into a pair of sassy sixties secretary heels for How to Succeed! She sends major thanks to her family, her cat, and her favorite Bratt, Jason, for their endless love and support. Thank you for supporting community theatre enjoy the show!
McKenzie Parks (Ensemble) is excited to be back for her second summer at TIP! She finished her second year teaching as a 4th-Grade teacher, and is very glad it is summer time. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Julie Purin (Miss Jones) is an elementary music teacher. She is thrilled to make
her KC musical theater debut with TIP and return to the stage after a sevenyear hiatus! Favorite past performances include Hands on a Hardbody, Spelling Bee, and Children of Eden. A big thank you to her family!
Autumn Quarles (Ensemble) This is Autumn’s 5th show at Theater in the Park, her last show being Anything Goes. Autumn would like to thank the staff here for this opportunity as well as the whole production team for working so hard on this show, making it possible.
Gavin Ruder (Ensemble) is excited to return to TIP again this summer, as he was previously in Oklahoma! He loves to golf and watch a whole bunch of sports. He currently works at Ryan Lawn & Tree in the turf department. Thanks for all the support!
Paul Ruf (Ensemble) is an incoming senior at KU, majoring in Accounting with a minor in Dance. Previous TIP credits include: Oklahoma, Catch Me If You Can, James and the Giant Peach, Hello Dolly!, and Meet Me in St. Louis. He wants to thank his friends and family for their continued support.
Adam Segura (Gatch/Toynbee/ Ensemble) is super excited to return to the TIP stage! The last show he was in at TIP was the summer of 2015. He wants to thank all of his friends and family for their support! Lastly, he hopes the audience enjoys their lesson in business this evening!
Syriana Sharpe (Ensemble) is so excited to be in her first show at TIP! She just graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School and has been performing since she was 12. You may have seen her in productions at MTKC or SRPA in the past. She hopes you enjoy the show!!
Cayden Shelly (Ensemble) is thrilled to return to TIP for the second time this summer! Previously, Cayden was in Oklahoma! (Slim/Ensemble), and in 2023, he was part of White Christmas
(Ensemble). Other credits include West Side Story (Action) at The White Theater. As always, Cayden would like to thank Center Stage Academy for everything they taught throughout the years.
Jason Shipps (Bratt) is honored to return to TIP after Young Frankenstein. Recent credits include The Play That Goes Wrong at the J, The Father at OCTA, and Big Fish with the Barn Players. Tess Sollars (Ensemble) Excited to return to TIP, Tess is a rising sophomore at Oklahoma City University where she studies Musical Theatre. She most recently appeared as Kim McAfee in Bye Bye Birdie. Emma Whitney (Ensemble) is so excited for her first season at the park! She is currently attending KU for her master’s in speech-language pathology! She has recently played Anna in Spring Awakening and Margot in Legally Blonde. She thanks her family and friends for all their support!
Luke Buchanan (Percussion) is a Pittsburg State University graduate, receiving his B.A. in Percussion Performance. He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching in K-12 Instrumental Education at William Jewell College. Luke currently plays in the Kansas City Wind Symphony and Overland Park Civic Band.
John Burke (Trombone) is a mostly-retired software developer and still active college soccer referee. He also plays in a jazz big band and sings with the KC Symphony Chorus. This is his 38th show at TIP.

Joe Gall (Reed) is a musical instrument repairman, a University of Missouri School of Music graduate, and a fan of all things jazz. He would like to thank his family for all of their support.
Lee Hake (Trumpet) Veteran of 20 TIP & 113 musical productions, is proud to be Your Trumpeter. Highlights are Trumpeter for 3x Emmy Award Winning Steve & Kathy Show & 2024 Bronze Medal winner at North America Brass Band Association Soloist competition.
Liliana Jackson (Horn I) recently graduated with a B.S. in Music Performance at William Jewell College, where she is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching in K-12 Instrumental Education. Liliana is an avid saxophone player, and plays in ensembles in the area such as the Kansas City Wind Symphony.
Stacy Lendt (Horn) is a horn player and educator in the Kansas City area. She teaches at Northwest Missouri State University and Kansas City Kansas Community College, cofounded the KC Horn Club, and directs its youth ensemble. An active performer with local orchestras and community ensembles, Stacy previously played for TIP’s Anastasia and is excited to return for How to Succeed!
Noah Moore (Trumpet) is currently obtaining his bachelors in music education at Missouri State University. Noah has participated in many orchestras across Kansas City and this will be show number 5 for Noah at TIP.

Ron Mundt (Reed) A native of Nebraska, I’ve been playing in or conducting pit orchestras for about 50 years for a variety of venues in Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. I’m looking forward to contributing to tonights performance & hope you enjoy the show!
Lucas Roach (Cello) is thrilled to be back for a third season with TIP! Lucas provides a wide array of music for shows and events across Kansas City and Wichita and is ecstatic to be back in the park. He is currently receiving a BM in Cello Performance under Dr. Leonid Shukaev at Wichita State University.
Sean Soendker Nicholson (Bass) is new to musical orchestras, but is really enjoying the opportunity. He lives in Lees Summit with his family: Abram, Judah, and Trista.
Shawn Tunink (Trumpet) This is Shawn’s 2nd season at TIP. Recent shows include Guys and Dolls (Independence), Cabaret (Blue Springs), Merrily We Roll Along (Barn Players), A Funny Thing Happened... (RCCP), Sister Act (TIP), and Curtains (RCCP). Recent stage rolls include Steel Magnolias (Radio DJ) and Sweeney Todd (Ensemble).
Deana Wagoner (Reed) is thrilled to be back at the Park for another show with Director James Levy! She has a busy pit orchestra schedule, performing on woodwinds and keyboards in many area theatres. She is also Principal Flutist of Medical Arts Symphony. Enjoy the show!
Emily Winterburg (Violin) Normally a violist with TIP, Emily is making her violin debut for her 7th show here. She’s a violist with the Topeka Symphony Orchestra, a musician with Topeka Civic Theater, and performs around Topeka, and the KC area. She will also be playing viola for Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Ben Wray (Keys) This is my third show at TIP. I teach music in Blue Valley and at Mid America Nazarene University. I enjoy playing jazz piano, as well as for auditions, special events, and at church. My wife and I have three amazing adult kids, a wonderful daughter-in-law and two sweet grandkids.

Marlee Bell (Stage Manager) is so excited to be back for another wonderful show! Previous TIP credits include: Spamalot and Beauty & the Beast (2017), Descendants (2022), Anastasia, Sister Act, and Disenchanted (2024), Steel Magnolias, James & the Giant Peach, Disney Double Feature, and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer (2025). Zach Dulny (Lighting Designer) is a NYC based lighting designer. He loves collaborating on new work, having designed many new plays and musicals. He works most frequently on Off and Off-Off Broadway, along with regional works. He thanks his friends, family, and teachers for helping him along his way.
Frank Gentile (Co-Props Designer/ Coordinator) He regularly does Scenic Design / Construction and assists local theatrical productions and schools. Frank
loves the challenge of creating illusions and special effects for people. When not in local theater he is on staff full time as a Churchwide Production Manager for all location, in Tech Arts for Church of the Resurrection serving over 100 volunteers and a small staff. Jake Hamilton (Asst. Stage Manager) This is my third year back at TIP and Im excited to be back. I’ve previously worked behind the scenes in the orchestra and stage crew and Im excited to get the opportunity to continue to contribute to this talented and welcoming community.
John Hollan (Hair & Makeup Designer)
While formal training has placed him on stages as an actor, singer, or conductor, John’s guilty pleasure for more than a decade happens backstage, styling productions for live theatre. A self-taught designer, he finds particular joy in wig design/construction. He’s designed shows in KC venues including TIP, New Theatre & Restaurant, the White Theatre, H&R Block City Stage/Union Station, Just Off Broadway, and Unicorn Theatre. Grant Martin (Costume Designer/ Coordinator) is thrilled to return outdoors at TIP! He has costume designed numerous shows in the area, including The Wild Party (OCTA), Frozen (The White Theater), Bye Bye Birdie, Rudolph, and Seussical (TIP). His stage management credits include Assassins (OCTA), Little Shop of Horrors, Steel Magnolias, and Shout! (TIP). Caity Nelson (Asst. Stage Manager) is an alumnus of MidAmerica Nazarene University. Past productions include: Ocean O’Connell Rosenberg in Ride the Cyclone (ESU), Annelle in Steel Magnolias (TIP), and Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (MNU). Brady Rose (Sound Designer) has been the resident Sound Designer for TIP since 2021, designing all indoor shows and designing and mixing all outdoor shows. Some highlights of his TIP career include Footloose, The SpongeBob Musical, Newsies, and many others. While not working for TIP, Brady is an Audio Engineer and Production Manager for HMXLive, a unit of Harvest Productions.
Emily Vargo (Director) is ecstatic to be back at her favorite place to do theatre! You may have seen her on stage as Spiker in James in the Giant Peach last summer. She also recently directed Zombie Prom and Bye Bye Birdie here at TIP.
Kit Wardford-Grow (Wardrobe Supervisor) This is my first time helping with TIP, and I’m so excited. Thank you to my family for The support, and the rides. Thank you as well to my friends for the confidence!
Ben Wray (Accompanist) This is my third show on piano at TIP. I teach elementary music in the Blue Valley District, and private lessons at Mid America Nazarene University. I play freelance piano in the KC area, have played for auditions, shows and music directed for several community theater groups. I play and lead worship at my church. I am happily married, have three amazing kids, a daughter-in-law and two grandkids. God is good!
