Blue KC Information

We want to let you know that North Kansas City Health has sent a termination notice to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC) to end it’s hospital and physician participation in all Blue KC networks, effective June 1, 2026, due to financial negotiations.

Blue KC realizes the hardship you might face if NKC Health follows through with the termination. Blue KC remains willing to engage in good faith negotiations with NKC Health to continue their participation in all Blue KC networks.

Right now, nothing is changing for you. NKC Health remains in network, and if you use NKC Health, you will see no changes to coverage of your physicians or services at NKC Health hospital, health centers, and clinics.

Sleep and Emotional Well-Being

If you’ve ever woken up feeling drained after a poor night’s rest, you’ve recognized the powerful connection between sleep and mood.

Keep in mind! Small changes in your daily habits can help you wake up feeling more balanced and energized.

Tips for Quality Sleep

Go to bed and get up at the same time every day, even on weekends, to develop a healthy bedtime routine.

Make sure your bed and bedroom are quiet and comfortable. Turn off lights and screens well before bedtime.

Don’t drink caffeine, consume alcohol or smoke for four to six hours before bedtime.
