One of the main goals of the Open Options Shawnee Mission Triathlon & Duathlon is to raise funds and awareness for people with disabilities. All race participants are assigned to a team after registering for the event. If you purchase a VIP experience or raffle tickets, these funds are credited toward your team’s $1000 fundraising goal. Teams are captained by those served by Open Options KC. Your team captain will join you as you cross the finish line to award you your finisher’s medal. To learn more about your team or to make a donation and contribute toward your team’s goal, please click here.
WHERE DO THE FUNDS GO? Consider the costs of everyday items for people with disabilities. Although many people with disabilities work and also receive government support to offset the cost of daily living expenses, these funds do not cover everyday things that help you enjoy life to the fullest. Donations of any size are a big help!
