In 2019, when running at full capacity, we provided approximately 1,000 recreational opportunities to 20,000 participants who engaged with us 55,000 times. In 2021, programs ran at limited capacity for much of the year. However, we were still able to connect with the older adults of Johnson County by offering 800 in person programs to just over 7,000 individuals who participated more than 23,000 times. Additionally, approximately 2,600 people engaged with us more than 4,000 times through 150 virtual programs.
• Classes: Participants benefit from wellness and fitness programs, dance classes and performances, fine arts lessons, computer classes and socializing in various other activities.
• Domestic and International Travel: Recent destinations included Spain, England, Costa Rica, Germany, New England, Egypt and Italy, just to name a few.
