LOOKING AHEAD

While many aspects of campus life may look a little differently moving forward, The University of Southern Mississippi will remain dedicated to its mission of scholarship and learning – integrating students at all levels in the creation and application of knowledge through excellence in teaching, research, creative activities, outreach and service.

Currently, the University is preparing for a return of students in early August with a condensed fall semester schedule. There will be no fall break and all final exams will be completed prior to campus closing for the Thanksgiving holiday in order to reduce the potential spread of the virus. But, just as we have learned over the last several months, flexibility will be key in a successful fall semester.
