TITLE Meeting with Mr Nagen Mootoosamy - Mayor of Quatre Bor nes

On 25 February, we met with the Mayor of Quatre Bornes, Nagen Mootoosamy for a courtesy visit. We presented our projects and discussed on potential collaborations between JCI Quatre Bornes and the Municpality of Quatre Bornes.

The Mayor was very willing to help and we discussed some interesting projects on which we could work together. He explained that the main concern of the Municipality of Quatre Bornes is the traffic problems at Quatre Bornes that is due to the works related to the Metro Express. People have to take a different way to reach their destination and this is creating difficulties for the inhabitants.

We then exchanged on our projects for the year. We began with the donation drive, which is an exciting project where we plan to collect goods and distribute to the people in need. The mayor was very keen on it and was happy to offer the help of the Municipality for the logistics. In spite of the COVID-19, we planned to be closer to the community of Quatre Bornes. We know of many people who are suffering from the consequences of the COVID-19 and hope that the collaboration with the Municipality will help us to provide some relief to those inhabitants. I would like to end with a special thanks to the Mayor of Quatre Bornes who made time for us in his busy schedule and I look forward to a fruitful collaboration.
