Without both of your endless effort, this wonderful and full content e-newsletter wouldn’t been published out. My presidential theme for 2021 is “Tiny but shiny, We are Fireflies !” . I believe, everyone of us at JCI Century is like a firefly. Everyone has our own unique light, we are just like fireflies, we are tiny but when we are together, we illuminate shining glow to form a powerful strength. BY Aron Good day everyone, I’m VP Individual Aron Ong. I’m so pleasure to hold this VP position for this year. We have organized more than 10 personal development training in Year 2021. I really gained a lot of improvement throughout all the training. I believe all these event were benefits to all JCI Century’s member as well. JCI is a platform to learn and growth. I am really appreciated that I have this opportunity to learn and I hope to see more new faces from JCI to join us in future JCI training to build your own personality and confidence.

JCI EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION - MESSAGE DELIVERY Held on 18th June 2021. Organizing Chairman of the event was Chai Beng Yung from JCI Riam. Aron Ong was one of the committee in this training. This training was co-hosting with JCI Bandar Setia Alam, JCI Tawau, JCI Bukit Mertajam, JCI Riam and JCI Petaling Jaya.We are pleasure to invite 2021 Publication Commission Director Kueh Sze Ling as Head Trainer. We have total 47 particiapnts from different Local Organisation joined us in this training.

Through formal cooperation, all chapters can better organize training to meets the needs of the whole JCI Malaysia chapter, and improve information delivery of members in term of effective preparation and delivery method used for giving a highimpact presentations.

Our trainers use a very creative way to have more interactive with all the participants’ in this virtual training. We have total 30 JCI members participated in this training and it is a very fun training to have better understanding in JCI for all of us!

JCI DISCOVER Held on 23rd June 2021. Organizing Chairman of the event was Aron Ong. This training was co-hosting with JCI Petaling Jaya. We are pleasure to invite 2021 JCI Malaysia National Vice President Vincent Leng as Head Trainer and 2021 JCI Petaling Jaya Executive Vice President Henry Ng as Assistant Trainer.

This training mainly focus on the existence of JCI and what is the JCI vision and mission. Besides, it is also JCI course for potential members and new members to have the foundation of JCI.

In this couse, participants will be familiar with the different types and strutures of presentations, learn the recommended steps to identifying and meet the needs of the audience, and undertsand the basic information transmission principles for successful preparation and delivery ensuring effective communications of influential information.

A lot of people was affected and some of them even lost their job and became unemploy. So, we have successfully organised a series of buisness event to help those who facing difficulty with this business or financial. These series of business event was held online and we invited various speaker to share their experience on how to establish their new business and how they overcome the difficulties during this pandemic.

CENTURY BUSINESS TRAINING 4.0 企业家大讲堂 Held on 17th June 2021. Organizing Chairman of the event was Kelvin Fong. We are pleasure to invite 90’s young Entrepreneur Mr. Vincent Tan from Atomy as speaker. He is Top 3 income in Malaysia Atomy and under his leadership he own a team with around 500,000 people in 11 countries. In his team, he had successfully help more than 300 people to have 5 figure income in 2020.

This project is to help those people facing difficulties in this pandemic and also align with our JCI RISE. 6 Local Organizations joint this project together; we are JCI Century, JCI Southkey, JCI Malacca City Entrepreneurs, JCI Mines, JCI Muar & JCI Entrepreneurs. Learning Festival LEARNING FESTIVAL is a 2 day workshop to provide platform to learn about side hustle, reskilling for handle current job & mental health on 7 August 2021 & 14 August 2021. We total have around 300+ participations and 12 trainers in these 2 days workshop. For the surplus that we have collated will help for our community as donation fund.

We are hosting Local Organizations for this session and Ronald Term was the session Organizing Chairman. We are honour to invite JCI Senator Gary Lee and Zac Ch’ng, Certified Nutritionist as speaker of the day and Ms Lavin Seow, professional actress as our special speaker.

We have more than 50 participants joined us in this sharing. The speakers gave the sharing on the idea on depression and how to avoid ourselves from depression and ways to overcome our problem.

BY Nai Greeting from VP International Nai Wan Cheng. We have organized quite a lot of international event in Year 2021.

We did organized joint event to have international networking session with JCI Cambodia. Also, we have successfully invite 15 JCI Century’s members to attend NATCON and 20 JCI Century’s members to attend ASPAC through online. We are glad to have a lot of member joining us in these event even through virtual. We believe they could attend to the physical international event soon after the pandemic.

Memorable Journey with JCI Airline Held on 31st July 2021. Organizing Chairman for JCI Century of the event was Nai Wang Cheng. We are hosting an online virtual tour event between Malaysia & Cambodia.

We have 10 Local Organisation participated in this event including JCI Malaysia Local Organizations (JCI Century, JCI Kota Kinabalu, JCI Kuching, JCI NibongTebal, JCI Seremban) and JCI Cambodia Local Organizations (JCI Chaktomuk, JCI ChbarAmpov, JCI Mekong, JCI Phnom Penh, JCI Siem Reap).

We are pleasure to have JCI Malaysia National President Chew Hooi Mei and JCI Cambodia National President Pak Chanlinoon board with us in JCI Airline.

More than 120 JCI members from JCI Malaysia and JCI Cambodia joining us in JCI Airline. It is really a great experience to have international networking session like this to share our culture and food.

Besides, we also thanks to all of our committees especially technical team & program team. The virtual effect and virtual background make us feel like we are in the airplane. Thanks to our emcee Torrie Cheon & Blue Chua from JCI Century. They did a very great job and get a lot of good feedback from our participants. They use creative way to interact with our participants and make it a very fun and memorable events.

JULY GMM – JCI E SPORT GAMING 王者荣耀 TOURNAMENT held on 25th July 2021. Organizing Chairman of the event was Steven Lee from JCI MCE and one of our member Jaslyn Chow has joined the team as Marketing Director， Torrie Cheon as Emcee & Lee Baoting as Design Director. This event was co-hosting with JCI Malacca City Entrepreneur.

We have total 14 participants joined in this event. Some of us is in zoom for participant small gaming session and we have 2 teams joining for王者 荣耀. Congratulation to JCI Century’s team, Mervyn, David Kong, Chriss, Shela and Junfu for winning the Champion for 王者荣耀 !

AUGUST GMM KILL YOU 3000 千人杀 Held on 13th August 2021. Organizing Chairman of the event was Nai Wang Cheng. 2021 JCI ASIA – PACIFIC CONFERENCE ( ASPAC ) 2021 JCI Asia-Pacific Conference Taichung hosted by JCI Cultural City was done virtually on 19 – 22 August. Thank you JCI Taiwan for hosting 2021 JCI ASPAC successfully and we are glad to meet JCI members around the world via Zoom online. JCI ASPAC was conducted in 4 days and all programs are well-prepared and we really enjoy the entire programs.

2021 JCI Malaysia National Summit 2021 JCI Malaysia National Summit held in 28 & 29 August for 2 days have officially end, thank you Organizing Chairman & Committee Team for putting a lot of effort to make the event done. It is a project hosted by Junior Chamber International Malaysia (JCIM) with the tagline of “IMPACT SOLUTION WITHIN PANDEMIC CRISIS” with the purpose of providing practical solutions through content sharing & partnership resource/ value offerings for the benefit of all the JCI Malaysia Local Organizations. Much appreciated to all speakers for sharing such an informative content to all our participants.

This is the first time we using Airmeet as a platform for event. It is definitely a great platform for networking session.

Last But Least 《舍•得》 雜物再見整理課線 Held on 6th June 2021.

Organizing Chairman of the event was Torrie Cheon. We are honour to invite Youtuber Blair as speaker of the event.

We have more than 100 JCI members and nonmember from JCI Malaysia, JCI Taiwan and JCI Hong Kong to participate in this event.

The objective of the event is to let the participant to have better understanding on the concept of minimalist and learn how to organize the unused item at home and recycle it to create new value on the item.

《舍•得 - Last But Least -行动日》 Was an awareness event which was held to make sure the participant have the knowledge on minimalist and we did some interview from those who had attended the《舍•得 - Last But Least - 雜 物 再 見 整 理 課 線 》 zoom sharing. Throughout this event, members and public can applied the knowledge learned from the previous zoom sharing and make their living area and work place become more organize and comfortable. Our member Elyn and Torrie were uploaded before and after photo to their social media too.

SHARE YOUR LOVE X TOGETHER WE RICE Held from 4th July 2021 to 11th July 2021. Oragnzing Chairman of the event was Torrie Cheon. The objective of the event is to organise a funding rising to purchase daily supply & food and donate to Persatuan Kebajikan Pelangi Ulu Tiram, Johor Bahru [ 彩 虹 之 家 ] as they are now assisting 3562 individual such as family, orphan, children, OKU, elderly, patient after surgery.

They are urgently in need of foods and supplies to support those family and individual with tough situation.

We have collected RM15,000+ donation supplies from the public and we have bought more than 300 goodies bag which including rice, meehoon, biscuit, canned food, 3000 pcs of egg, soap, mask, instant noodle, 3 in 1 chocolate powder, baby pampers and etc.

Most of them are working on daily basis and their earning were affected due to MCO as they are unable to work for a few months and no income at all.

《舍•得行动日》x SHARE YOUR LOVE 2.0 Held on 15th August 2021. Oragnizing Chairman of the event was Torrie Cheon. The objective of the event is toraise some daily supply to the needy person such as orang asli and foreigner worker. This is the second time we did this project and we are not accpeting any monetary donation but only nonmonetary item.

We have collected a lot donation supplies from the public including 45 cartoon mineral water, rice, vermicelli, milo, toiletry, 4 cartoon baby milk powder, 21 boxes face mask, 9 packet baby pampers, 1 pcs stove, 5 pcs rice cooker, 1 pcs laptop, 5 pcs mattress and pillow, books and stationery, cutlery, 30 packets of adult, children and baby cloths, towel shoes and etc.

We have delivered all the item to Persatuan Kebajikan Pelangi Ulu Tiram on the same day.

Later, we were brought to Orang Asli and foreigner worker living area to distribute the supplies to them. They look happy when they saw we brought them some cloth and home appliances. Children look happy when we distributed some snack for them too.

LAUGHTER YOGA Held on 13th June 2021 and 20th June 2021.

Laughter Yoga is Global Movement for Health | Happiness | World Peace. The objective of the event is to reduce mental health issue amongst public especially those who are badly affected by Covid-19 Pandemic. We have organized series of Laughter Yoga and it is to train everyone laugh from real as to release stress and increase immune system.

Laughter Yoga is Global Movement for Health | Happiness | World Peace. The objective of the event is to reduce mental health issue amongst public especially those who are badly affected by Covid-19 Pandemic.

It unwinds the negative effects of stress and strengthens your immune system. If you laugh every day, you will not fall sick easily. Laughter Yoga increases oxygen to your body and brain, and makes you feel healthy and energetic. It is a great exercise for team building, peak performance, Creativity and emotional intelligence.During the event, we were taught the tips to laugh from the bottom of our heart and the participants were enjoyed the whole session. We have more than 60 participants to join us for both events.

Be Strong！我挺你！明天会更好

Was an awareness event that give positivity to the public. This is because we realise that quite a lot of people are stress and intended to commit suicide after they thought their difficulty cannot be solved.

But actually not, this awareness post was to encourage the public to speak to anyone like friends and family to solve the problem together. We have about 400 participants including JCI Taiwan and JCI Hong Kong using the awareness frame we designed on their social media. We wish to spread the positive news to the public and hand in hand to overcome this pandemic!

Put On Smile Challenge

Held from 31st May 2021 – 30th June 2021 and finally come to the end after one month. The objective of the event is to bring the depress people out from their current situation and we will let them know, whenever they need help, their friends and family are always ready to give them support and help them out from the worst situation.
