Marilyn Fox Building Construction

Construction continues at the Marilyn Fox Building, with final renovations scheduled through August and September. Pending improvements are focused on the parking lot, exterior façade, Fitness Center, and Early Childhood Center. We appreciate your patience during this time and look forward to fully unveiling the transformed space in late September.

For updates visit jccstl.com/fox-renovations

As I write this, we are nearing the completion of a major renovation at the Marilyn Fox Building—and the transformation is remarkable. From brand-new locker rooms and the addition of Adult Day at the J, to a fully renovated fitness floor and newly dedicated pickleball courts, the Fox building has never looked better. If you haven’t been by recently, I encourage you to visit and experience the improvements for yourself. Remember, your membership gives you full access to both J locations!

Thank you to those of you who have made a donation to support the renovations through our Creating the J for Tomorrow campaign. It’s not too late to get involved – visit jccstl.com for more details.

At our Staenberg Family Complex, we’ve also made key upgrades based on your feedback—including new flooring and fresh paint in the locker rooms. You told us how we can improve, and we listened. Your satisfaction and overall experience are deeply important to us. We remain committed to ongoing facility improvements and continued staff training to ensure every visit to the J is a positive one.

This Fall Program Guide is packed with exciting and diverse offerings for all ages. Our fitness team has revamped our Signature Training Classes at SFC—you’ll find new energy in both the class formats and our talented instructors. Our Sports & Recreation team has built out a robust season of youth and adult basketball programs. NJT has two incredible productions on the horizon. Jewish Community Life has a full calendar of meaningful holiday celebrations. And that’s just the beginning.

Whether you’re continuing a tradition or exploring something new, thank you for making the J a part of your life. We are proud to be a place where you and your family can connect, grow, and build lasting memories.

See you at the J!

Warmly,

The Wanderers by Anna Ziegler

Recommended 12 years+

Two marriages have seemingly little in common: Esther and Schmuli are Orthodox Jews navigating strictly defined rules and roles, while Sophie and Abe are secular and free to make their own choices. But both couples are growing apart as they strive to balance their individual identities with the families they’ve created. As Esther tests the boundaries of her personal freedom, Abe falls into a correspondence with a movie star that will shake the foundations of his marriage and career. Anna Ziegler’s funny, moving, and thoughtful play asks if following one’s truth is worth it, no matter the cost.

Ken Ludwig’s Baskerville (A Sherlock Holmes

Madcap Mystery)

Recommended 12 years+

Get your deerstalker cap on—the play’s afoot! Comedic genius Ken Ludwig (Lend Me A Tenor; Dear Jack, Dear Louise) transforms Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic The Hound of the Baskervilles into a murderously funny adventure. The male heirs of the Baskerville line are being dispatched one by one. To find their ingenious killer, Holmes and Watson must brave the desolate moors before a family curse dooms its newest heir. The intrepid investigators must escape a dizzying web of clues, silly accents, disguises, and deceit as five actors deftly portray more than forty characters. Does a wild hellhound prowl the moors of Devonshire? Can our heroes discover the killer in time? Join the fun and see how far from elementary the truth can be.
