Jazz was diagnosed with Gender Dysphoria at age 3 and socially transitioned to female at 5. This was in 2005, when there was very little known about transgender children. Jeanette and her husband, Greg decided to share Jazz’s story on 20/20. Since then, Jeanette has been a fierce advocate for transgender youth. The family is currently featured on the award winning documentary series I am Jazz, in its 6th season. Jeanette is co-founder of the Transkids Purple Rainbow foundation.
