BMH-BJ’s Senior Chavurah Welcomes Everyone February 17, Senior Chavurah will host an event with Dr. Michael Greher, a clinical neuropsychologist and licensed psychologist, who will discuss memory problems and what is normal. Other upcoming synagogue programs of interest to seniors include: Shabbat Shira, Saturday, January 30; the Purim Carnival, Sunday, February 28; and the BMH-BJ annual event honoring Ardie Wandel, Sunday, March 14. The BMH-BJ Senior Chavurah is generously supported by the BMH-BJ Women’s League and welcomes new program ideas. If you have an idea which would be beneficial for seniors, please call the office at (303) 3884203 and ask for Josh Gold, Program Coordinator. All programs are open to the greater community and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Under the leadership of lay leader Selma Zwerdlinger, BMH-BJ’s Senior Chavurah continues to bring in exciting and entertaining programs for seniors in the Denver Jewish community. From monthly Senior Chavurah programs to large synagogue programs, there is no lack of interesting, informative and fun activities for seniors at BMH-BJ Congregation.

Past programs that Senior Chavurah has hosted in the Blitt Learning Center in Fisher Hall have included: Senior lunch in the Sukkah; the Candlewyck Harmonikers; Shir Ami performance of Jewish Folk music from around the world; One World Folk Dancers; Irish dancers; and learning how to protect against fraud.
