AMERICAN RED CROSS LEARN TO SWIM PROGRAM

The JCA is an authorized provider for the American Red Cross. All skills taught follow the Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Program guidelines. All campers will be assessed and be assigned a colored neckband to wear in the pool during camp based on the strength of their swimming ability to assist our American Red Cross lifeguards in keeping your swimmer safe. Group Swim Instruction is provided to Camp Gan Yeladim K’Ton and Tovim campers, KinderCamp and Sabra campers.

JCA swim instructors are certified and trained WaterSafety Instructors (W.S.I.).

Swim instructor to student ratios are regulated by the American Red Cross.

Level achievements are issued to every camper during each camp session.

Swim groups are formed according to swim ability. JCA and JJC pools meet and exceed state minimum requirements for aquatic facilities.

Pool water chemistry is tested a minimum of five times per day.

Pool use is contingent on weather and health and safety standards.

We will never compromise our standards to keep the pools open.
