JCA is a multi-disciplinary, engineering led organisation providing services to a diverse range of business sectors and end user clients.

The company has many facets, not only delivering a broad spectrum of engineering, maintenance, interior fit out and consultancy services, but also managing and mitigating client specific operational risks, particularly in operational and critical environments.

JCA has become a trusted partner to many healthcare, commercial, science and technology, and government organisations. This is achieved with engaged and motivated staff, working in a healthy environment with a positive culture, culminating in strong client retention and successful referrals to new clients.

We have the experience in design, MEP consultancy, construction, M&E fit out, internal fit out and M&E maintenance. Our holistic provision of services is unique, ensuring we consider projects in light of the full life cycle of the buildings; be it a data centre or MEP fit out or providing design and consultancy services. Our project teams are consistent from inception through to completion, ensuring clients benefit from our advice and experience.

TECHNICAL EXPERTS

JCA employs a highly skilled team, bringing together a range of specialist technical proficiencies; clients are assigned a team who bring unrivalled industry expertise to a project, be it working in live business critical environments and in construction or complete design and build of data centres. Our approach for clients demonstrates detailed and considered thinking, ultimately solutions that consider the full life cycle of clients’ projects.

Our integrated approach allows us to self-deliver services through our own teams from design to construction to assessment.

JCA’s founding principle is that we are able to manage all aspects of a client project delivered both in-house and through our carefully selected and approved suppliers. We provide all services through in-house teams from design through to construction to MEP assessment and maintenance. This means JCA has the unique ability to engage with clients at all stages of a building’s life cycle.

JCA operates with four main business divisions, with an overarching ethos to operate as a single entity, but with each business division working in collaboration with the others. The primary aim is to ensure that clients experience a consistent service across all divisions. The expertise held across the business divisions’ complement each other so as to provide a fully comprehensive package of deliverables to meet a wide range of client requirements.

This includes the reduction of natural resource consumption, through improving paper efficiency and reducing energy usage, minimisation of F-Gas/ODS loss from maintained refrigeration equipment and minimising our waste to landfill.

ENGINEERING PROJECTS

We provide a range of engineering services including data centre design and build, critical plant upgrade and general building services engineering in technical spaces such as dealer areas and laboratories as well as commercial buildings. In addition to the delivery aspects, we offer a full range of professional design services that can be applied at the initial feasibility and validation stage through to testing and certification. Typically engaged as principal contractor on a design and build basis, we are able to offer a fully encompassed service providing a single point of contact for clients, essential when undertaking business critical projects.

We possess the technical knowledge and experience to assess every aspect of risk and, as a testimony to the success of services offered, are engaged under multiple framework agreements with market leading organisations to undertake all infrastructure upgrade projects across their business critical facilities.

The growth of JCA has been due to our founding principle of professionally engineered and delivered projects. Building on our client’s vision of innovation and technology, JCA designed and built a leading data centre facility which is certified as BREEAM excellent, offering an innovative solution for hosted data services. The facility offers flexible world class data capacity, which benefits from highly resilient power and diverse communications.

Kao Data London One is the first of four planned data centres that will comprise the Kao Data Campus, on the 36-acre Kao Park development in Harlow, Essex. It currently provides a total of 160,000sq ft. of net technical space.

SERVICE & MAINTENANCE

Our service and maintenance division offers bespoke planned preventative and reactive maintenance support to a portfolio of clients across both resident and mobile engineer contracts.

By taking the time to understand each of our client’s unique requirements, we are able to tailor a maintenance package to suit each business’s individual needs.

MUFJ Securities

LOCATION London SECTOR Financial PROJECT

Atrium project

Mitsubishi UFJ Securities International, an international bank with offices in London, entrusted us with a project to create a Japanese pavilion in the atrium of their offices.

This pavilion acts as a presentation and meeting space and was created to mark the launch of the bank’s brand. Due to this branding launch the project had to be completed within a three week time period. It therefore required absolute organisation with no margin for error.

JCA’s design team were part of the professional team assigned to designing and creating the new critical care facility at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

JCA worked extensively and thoroughly engaged with the management team at the Trust, together with the clinicians and design team with a view to delivering a new ‘class leading’ expanded adult (ICU) and neonatal (NICU) intensive care unit.

This is a major and exciting development within the hospital that offers patients, patient families and clinicians state-ofthe-art facilities for a critical care environment.

9.0 OUR LOCATION

JCA operates nationally across England and manage all centralised operations through our head office in Stevenage. JCA are ideally located to service projects in the south of England. Although our administrative, finance, estimating and design functions are based here, our operational and delivery teams are located throughout the south.
