John 12:21
WE NEED TO SEE JESUS
John 12: 21 tells us that some Greeks said to Philip: “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.” In the context of ancient history, the Bible, and early Christianity, the Greeks were considered Gentiles, which meant they were not of Jewish ethnicity or faith. We’re not told if they experienced a face-to-face meeting with Jesus, but it does inform us how their request to see Jesus was required Little did the Greeks know, not only did they speak for themselves, but they spoke for the whole human race, especially in today’s climate. Today we don’t need permission from another individual to see Jesus.
He is available to everyone at any time. Yet it’s not uncommon for us to allow situations such as various internal and external barriers to cloud our spiritual vision. Hidden habits; Unrepented sins; Worries; Busyness; Pride or Self-Exaltation; Pain; Disappointment and Spiritual Apathy, can easily block our spiritual vision. But, if we take time to disconnect from the panic and noise of the world, and shift our focus on His promises, His love and His power, God will open our spiritual eyes, and we will not only be able to see Jesus, we’ll also be able to trust Him, call on Him, and follow Him. When we humble ourselves and cry out in faith, we will see Him as He forgives; brings peace, healing, deliverance, and restoration.
Pray: “Father help me to shift my focus away from the current chaos that’s going on around me so that I may be able to see Jesus.”

2Kings 6:8
DO NOT BE AFRAID
In 2Kings 6, Syria’s king plans to take over Israel. Each time he devised a plan, the Prophet Elisha and spiritual strategist for the king of Israel, was able to reveal his strategy to the King of Israel, circumventing Syria’s success. When the king of Syria learned what was happening, he was livid. He sent his army to capture Elisha and bring him back. The Prophet Elisha’s attendant saw the great army surrounding the city and ran to Elisha, asking him what they should do. Elisha replied: “Do not be afraid, for there are more with us than there are with them.” Then Elijah prayed: “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see. ” Suddenly the servant saw a great number of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha
Today our country is witnessing deplorable political leadership, causing fear within many. Douglas Rowland II reported “The most troubling pattern (of this political administration) is the growing emphasis on loyalty, not to the Constitution, but to a person. ” Rest assured, that “ one person ” is not God. Americans are facing an ongoing war; economic instability; loss of jobs; and the struggle to provide for our daily needs
If we allow God to open our spiritual eyes, we will be able to beyond this situation. Just because God’s hand isn’t visible doesn’t mean He’s not working on our behalf God’s power is more powerful than any worldly force.

BE STILL AND TRUST GOD
Psalm 46:10
Psalm 46 was written for God’s people in a time of trouble, but it also reminds us today that our security is not found in human strength, but in the Lord. Even in chaos, God calls His people to rest in the certainty of who He is. Be still doesn’t mean be passive; it means be poised in faith, anchored in trust, and confident in God’s protection and provision When life feels overwhelming, we often respond with fear, worry or, in our own efforts, attempt to fix everything.
Psalm 46:10 is a call to God’s people to stop striving and trust in His promises. He invites us to quiet our hearts and remember that He is our refuge, strength, and ever-present help. Isaiah 54 tells us that God gave the Prophet Isaiah a message to deliver to the Israelites when they were in exile, to restore their hope and build their confidence in His eternal covenant and vindication, assuring them that no weapon formed against them would prosper… “This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, says the Lord” (Verse 17)
When we surrender our fears to Him, and rest in His promises, the same message applies to us today God’s servants possess an inheritance of divine protection that no enemy can overcome.
Pray: Lord, help me to be still and trust You. Quiet my heart, strengthen my faith, and let Your peace rule in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Mark 4: 39
GOD STILL CALMS STORMS
After Jesus had finished teaching by the side of the sea, He beckoned to the disciples to join Him on the boat to travel to the other side of the sea. Being tired, I’m sure, Jesus went down into the stern of the boat and fell asleep. As they were travelling, a great storm arose. The disciples, being afraid they were going to be destroyed, woke Jesus, asking, “Teacher, don’t you care that we are perishing?”. Jesus rose and spoke four words to the storm: “Be silent! Be still!” and the storm ceased.
This is an account of a literal weather storm, but we encounter “storms of life”. The weather may be beautiful, but “ our storms of life” can cause us to feel as though we, too, are being destroyed. These storms can be sudden, unpredictable, or overwhelming. They can threaten our peace, stability, and our well-being. “Storms of Life” can be a physical or mental battle, a financial crisis, an unexpected life transition or loss of a loved one. Whether God changes our situation or gives us peace within, His power is greater than our distress.
Psalm 107 tells us of many who encountered different storms in their lives, but when they cried to the Lord, He delivered them from their distress. He is the same God today as He was in Biblical days and He still calms storms. If anyone needs a witness, I can testify, He has calmed many storms in my life. Just trust Him
Pray: Lord, thank You for being with me in every storm. Remind us, your present-day disciples, that You are greater than any storm that may arise. Strengthen our faith and calm our fears. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

GOD CAN HANDLE OUR DOUBTS
Matthew 14:31
Doubting God is not foreign to humans, not even Christians. Doubting God is a process of spiritual growth, not a failure of faith. We don’t have to cancel our church membership just because we have doubts When we are honest with God about our doubts, it can help us to ask Him hard questions. During his time of personal sorrow, distress, and the feeling of abandonment, David asked God, four times in the first verse: “How Long, o Lord?” (Psalm 13:1-2)
In Matthew 14:22-31, initially Peter believed he could walk on water to meet Jesus, but when his attention was drawn away from Jesus to the waves of the stormy sea, he began to sink Jesus didn’t allow Peter to drown in his doubts, instead He reached out His hand and saved Him. Peter’s doubts were part of his growing process. God responds to our doubts in a redemptive manner, not a condemning manner
It’s easy to judge, condemn, and look down on those who have doubts, but God’s word tells us to have mercy on those who are wavering (Jude 1:11) God’s word further tells us that the testing of our faith produces steadfastness. (James 1:3) Doubt is not unbelief, it’s the bridge that connects current faith to perfect faith. So, when in doubt, use the faith you have. God understands
Pray: Lord, when doubts rise, reach out Your hand and steady my faith. Help me trust You, even when I don’t understand. Amen.

“The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith”
PRAY FOR MORE FAITH
Luke 17:5
There are times when our faith feels strong and steady, and there are other times when it feels very unsteady. The disciples understood this struggle. Even after walking with Jesus, hearing His teaching, and witnessing His power, they still prayed to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” Their prayer reminds us that we can be honest with God. We don’t have to pretend that we never have doubts.
Praying for faith is an act of faith itself. It says, “Lord, I believe You are able to help me but help me to trust You more. ” God is not disappointed by our weakness; He meets us in it. When the father in Luke 17:5 prayed that Jesus would heal his child, Jesus declared “All things can be done for the one who believes.” The father cried out: “I believe; help my unbelief!” We can also come to Jesus with our faith and our doubts.
Our faith grows as we call to mind our prayers God answered in the past; remember His promises; and come to Him in sincerity, asking Him to increase our faith. Therefore, instead of focusing on how little faith we may have, let us ask God to increase it A sincere prayer for faith can become the beginning of deeper trust.
Pray: Lord, increase my faith. Help me trust You more each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

THE POWER OF BELIEVING GOD
Mark 9:24
Believing IN God means agreeing that He exists That’s no big deal, really Even the demons believe that. (James 2:19) But believing God is a whole different story. Believing God compels us to obey Him, regardless of the cost. When we say we believe someone it means we believe what they say Likewise, if we “BELIEVE” God, we believe His promises
Believing God’s promises doesn’t eradicate the difficult circumstances we will encounter, instead, because we believe Him, we choose to trust what He says, despite our circumstances.
A father came to Jesus seeking healing for his son His words revealed hope, but some doubts also. He said to Jesus: “IF You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us. ” Jesus answered by turning the focus away from human limitation to divine possibility saying: “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes” The father said he believed but had a little unbelief; then he asked God to help his unbelief. Because of his testimony, Jesus healed his son.
The power of believing God relieves us from worry and anxiety, because we KNOW there is nothing too hard for Him. When we believe God, it empowers us to see our obstacles as God’s opportunities to reveal His grace There is power in BELIEVING GOD
Pray: Father, we come before you today, confessing that we do believe but we ask you to increase our belief. For we know there is power in believing all that you say. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

“He said, ‘Lord, I believe’ And he worshiped him”
I BELIEVE
John 9:38
After Jesus healed a blind man, the Pharisees questioned the miracle and rejected the man ’ s testimony But when Jesus found him and revealed who He was, the man believed in Him and worshiped Him.
“I believe” is more than a statement; it is a surrender It’s trusting that God’s promises are stronger than our doubts and His presence is greater than our fears. There was a time in my life when “I believe” came from a place of wrestling. I wanted to trust God fully but doubt still tried to rise up in my heart I brought my fears, and my uncertainty to God, and He received me with patience and love. When doubt tried to shake me, God strengthened me.
Today, I can celebrate, because God has helped me overcome the doubts that once weighed me down. He did not turn away from me when my faith felt small. Instead, He walked with me, reminded me of His promises, and showed me, repeatedly, that He is faithful. What once felt uncertain has become a testimony of His goodness.
“I believe” is my testimony God has helped me to overcome what once caused me to question, and He has given me a reason to rejoice. My faith has been strengthened, not because every answer came immediately, but because God remained faithful through it all. I can celebrate because doubt did not have the final word God did

“He said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you became believers?” Acts 19:2a
HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE HOLY SPIRIT SINCE YOU BELIEVED?
When Paul came to Ephesus, he met believers who had responded to the truth they knew, but they had not yet received the Holy Spirit. Paul’s question called them into a deeper experience with God. Once they heard the full truth, they responded in faith. Their lives moved from simply hearing about God to receiving His Spirit and being empowered by Him It is possible to know about God, attend worship and still need a deeper surrender to the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is not an optional addition to the Christian life He is the promised gift of the Father He is the Comforter, Teacher, Guide, and God’s Spirit at work in and through us. He convicts, cleanses, strengthens, comforts, and empowers us to be witnesses for Jesus Christ.
We need the Spirit to pray when our words fail, to stand when trials come, to love when people are difficult, and to serve when we feel empty.
Paul asked, “Have you received the Holy Spirit?”, not “Have you heard about the Holy Spirit?” There is a distinct difference between hearing and receiving. Hearing informs the mind; receiving transforms the heart
For the next nine days our devotions will be centered around the Fruit of the Spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Generosity, Faith, Gentleness, and Self-control, which identifies the personality of the Holy Spirit. If you have received the Holy Spirit, you will gradually, but surely, take on His personality traits.
Pray: Father, as the followers of Jesus moved throughout the land during biblical days, teaching and encouraging people to receive the Holy Spirit, help us to be bolder and more diligent in doing the same today. In Jesus’s name. Amen.

“…God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us. ”
Romans 5:5
POWER TO LOVE BEYOND CONVENIENCE
In the moment of salvation, we are both filled and sealed with the Holy Spirit He begins working to bring our character into harmony with His. Romans 5:5 says that this includes God’s love being poured into our hearts. When Paul wrote to the Galatians about the fruit of the Spirit, the first fruit he named was love (Galatians 5:22) This is not by accident. Love is the foundation from which every other spiritual fruit grows.
The love produced by the Holy Spirit is more than emotion It is a holy decision to reflect the heart of Christ in all our actions and speech. When others are difficult, love is patient; when others are mean, it is kind. Love forgives when the memory of the offense still hurts It serves when no one is watching When life looks hopeless, the love God has poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit reminds us of God’s unwavering love for us and promises to us.
There may be times when we are tempted to love only those who agree with us, appreciate us, or treat us well. But the Holy Spirit teaches us to love beyond convenience He teaches us to love in a way that points others to Jesus When the love of God is working in us, others can see His presence through the way we respond.
Pray: Father, thank You for loving me first. Thank you for pouring your love into my heart through the Holy Spirit that I may love others as you love me. When I fall short in loving, strengthen me in Jesus’ name, Amen.

“Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions of them to those for whom nothing is prepared, for this day is holy to our Lord, and do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Nehemiah 8:10
THE JOY THAT STRENGTHENS US
In Nehemiah 8, the people of Israel gathered to hear the Law read aloud. As they listened, they began to weep. They realized how far they had drifted from God’s commands, and their hearts were pierced with conviction Yet in that sacred moment, Nehemiah did not tell them to stay burdened with shame. He told them to rejoice.
“The joy of the Lord is your strength” reminds us that God’s joy is not shallow happiness or denial of hard truth It is the deep strength that comes from knowing we are seen, corrected, forgiven, and restored by a faithful God. The people had reason to grieve, but they also had greater reason to hope: God had not abandoned them. He was calling them back.
Sometimes we think strength comes from hiding our weakness or pretending everything is fine. But Nehemiah points us to a better source. Our strength is found in the joy of belonging to God
This joy also turns outward. Nehemiah told the people to eat, drink, celebrate, and share with those who had nothing prepared True joy in the Lord does not keep us isolated; it moves us toward worship, gratitude, generosity, and community. When God restores us, He also sends us to strengthen others.
Pray: Father, thank You for your joy. For it is that’s stronger than my sorrow. When I fail you, restore my heart and renew my strength. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

THE PEACE JESUS GIVES
Jesus spoke these words to His disciples during a time of uncertainty He knew that the cross was before Him, and He knew that His followers would soon feel confused, afraid, and alone. Yet instead of leaving them with fear, He left them with peace.
The peace Jesus gives is different from the peace the world offers. The world’s peace often depends on things going well good news, stable circumstances, enough money, or the absence of trouble But the peace of Christ reaches deeper It is not built on what is happening around us; it is rooted in who He is within us.
When Jesus says, “Let not your heart be troubled,” He is inviting us to trust Him with the places inside us that feel anxious, weary, or afraid. His peace does not always remove the storm, but it steadies our hearts in the middle of it. His peace reminds us that we are not alone, that He is still present, and that He is still in control
Today, whatever may be troubling your heart, bring it to Jesus. Lay down the burden you have been carrying Receive the peace He freely gives not a temporary comfort, but a lasting assurance that comes from belonging to Him.
Pray: Lord Jesus, thank You for Your peace. Calm my troubled heart, quiet my fears, and help me trust You today. Amen.

“I waited patiently for the Lord; He inclined to me and heard my cry ” Psalm 40:1
WAIT WITH EXPECTATION
David reminds us that waiting on God is not wasted time. He speaks from a place of need, yet his testimony begins with patience: “I waited patiently for the Lord” This kind of waiting is more than simply passing the time; it is trusting God while the answer is still unseen. It is believing that God is present, attentive, and faithful even when life feels uncertain.
The verse also gives us a beautiful picture of God’s care: “He inclined unto me. ” The Lord does not ignore the cries of His people. He bends near, listens closely, and responds with compassion When we cry out to Him in fear, frustration, sorrow, or need, we can be confident that He receives our prayers and He cares.
Sometimes waiting is the hardest part of our faith We live in a culture of instant gratification, where patience often feels out of place; a world where instant results are expected. Waiting on God can challenge our faith and expose how desperate we are to be in control But Psalm 40:1 teaches us that waiting on God can become a place of worship As we wait, God strengthens our trust and prepares us to recognize His hand when He moves.
Is there a situation in your life that’s requiring you to wait on the Lord? If so, don’t grow weary. As the songwriter wrote, “He may not come when we want Him, but He is (always) right on time.”
Pray: Father, when I feel anxious or unheard, remind me that You hear my cry. Strengthen my faith while I wait, and help me trust Your timing, Your wisdom, and Your love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you. ”
Ephesians 4:32
KINDNESS
Kindness is not weakness; it is the strength of Christ working through a surrendered heart. In a world that often responds with impatience, criticism, and harsh words, the people of God are called to live differently. We are called to let our words bring life, our actions show mercy, and our hearts remain tender toward others. Kindness is not simply being nice when it is easy It is choosing to reflect the character of Jesus even when we are tired, frustrated, offended, or misunderstood.
Paul reminds us in Ephesians 4:32 that kindness, compassion, and forgiveness belong together. We cannot truly walk in Christlike kindness while holding tightly to bitterness. The kindness we give to others flows from the kindness we have received from God.
Do you ever ask yourself, “Who can I show Christlike kindness to today?” That question moves your focus from yourself to the people God has placed around you. Showing kindness may mean encouraging someone who feels overlooked, helping a neighbor, listening without interrupting, or answering someone with a gentle answer, instead of a sharp reply.
Choosing kindness may require you to pause before speaking, pray before responding, and remembering that every person you meet is someone God loves. Kindness does not mean ignoring wrong It means allowing the Holy Spirit to guide your response so that your words and actions point people back Christ.
Pray: Lord, thank You for the kindness and forgiveness You have shown me through Jesus Christ. Help me see people the way You see them. Open my eyes today to someone who needs a show of kindness. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

GENEROSITY: GIVING BEYOND YOUR SURPLUS
In our scripture, David looks back over his life and testifies that the righteous are never forsaken. God may not remove every hardship, but He remains present, providing strength, help, and peace along the way
The righteous are described as giving and lending freely, not out of abundance alone, but out of trust Generosity demonstrates one ’ s reliance on God rather than material wealth A life rooted in God’s faithfulness becomes a blessing to others. Generosity is foundational to the Christian faith. It is not an optional add-on, but a natural reflection of God's character and the grace received through Jesus Christ Believers are called to give their time, talents, and resources as acts of worship and obedience. The Bible doesn’t tell us to give out of obligation, but as the natural overflow of experiencing God’s grace.
The Bible presents generosity as an expression of love, a demonstration of faith, and a means of glorifying God. The call to generosity is woven throughout the Bible, beginning with the nature of God Himself God is depicted as the ultimate giver by sending His Son to die for the sins of the world.
In summary, generosity is a vital Christian duty that reflects God's character, demonstrates faith, and advances His kingdom. Through generous living, believers honor God and bear witness to the transformative power of the Gospel.
Pray: Father, please help me to be generous in the way your word teaches. Help me always remember that I will lose nothing but in every way I will prosper. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

“Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful.”
Hebrews 10:23
REMAIN FAITHFUL
Hebrews 10:23 calls believers to hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering This encouragement was written to people who needed strength to remain faithful when life was difficult, uncertain, and sometimes discouraging. Their hope was not based on what they could see around them, but on the faithfulness of the One who made the promise
To hold fast means to keep our grip, even when circumstances try to loosen it. There are seasons when worry, disappointment, unanswered questions, or delayed answers can cause our hearts to waver. Yet this scripture reminds us that our confidence is not in our own ability. Our confidence is in God, who promised to uphold us with His righteous right hand
He has promised to be with us, to strengthen us, to guide us, and to complete the work He has begun in us When our feelings shift, His faithfulness remains steady When life changes, His Word stands firm. When our hope feels weak, we can recall the truth that He who promised is faithful.
Today, let us hold fast. Let us not release our hope because of what we see, hear, or feel. Let us confess with faith that God is still able, still present, and still faithful. The promise may take time, but He who made the Promise can always be trusted

“Let your gentleness be known to everyone The Lord is near ”
SHOW GENTLENESS
Philippians 4:5
Philippians 4:5 is a short verse with a powerful message Paul encourages believers to let their gentleness be known to everyone. This means our faith should not only be heard in what we say but also seen in how we treat people. Gentleness is not weakness. It is strength under the control of the Holy Spirit
It is easy to be gentle when life is calm and people are kind. But the true test of gentleness often comes when we are pressured, offended, misunderstood, or treated unfairly In those moments, our natural response may be to speak sharply, defend ourselves quickly, or respond in the same spirit we received. But God calls us to a better way.
Paul gives the reason for this kind of life: “The Lord is near. ” Because the Lord is near, we do not have to live as though our survival depends on us. We can trust Him to defend, guide, strengthen, and settle our hearts His nearness gives us the grace to be patient, the wisdom to be quiet when needed, and the courage to answer with love.
Today, let us allow our gentleness to be visible Let it be seen in our words, our attitudes, our decisions, and our relationships. When people encounter us, may they see evidence that we belong to Christ. The Lord is near, and His presence can shape the way we respond to everyone around us
Pray: Father, help me to show gentleness in my words, my actions, and my attitude. When I am tested, remind me that You are near. Let others see Your love and peace through the way I respond. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

SELF-CONTROLLED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT
Self-disciple is one of the quiet strengths God gives His followers In 2 Timothy 1:7, Paul reminds Timothy that God has given us a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline. Selfdiscipline does not mean we never feel pressure, frustration, temptation, or fear.
Instead, it means we are enabled to control our impulses, emotions, and behaviors. There are moments when our emotions want to take control of our words, decisions, and actions We may be tempted to react quickly, speak harshly, worry endlessly, or give in to what is not pleasing to God. But the Holy Spirit helps us pause, pray, and choose an action that honors Christ.
Self-discipline is not human willpower. It is spiritual discipline shaped by God’s power. God’s power strengthens us to say no when we need to say no, and it helps us to consider how our choices will affect others God’s Spirit gives us a sound mind so we can think clearly and walk wisely.
The more we yield to the Holy Spirit, the more He teaches us to respond to/in every situation with patience, wisdom, restraint, and grace. Instead of letting fear, anger, appetite, or impulse lead us, we can surrender our thoughts and desires to the Lord.
Today, before we speak, let us ask God for wisdom. Before we react, let us invite the Holy Spirit to guide us. May we always remember: God has given us the Holy Spirit who will give us power to live a disciplined life
Pray: Father, thank You for giving me a spirit of self-discipline. Help me control my thoughts, words, emotions, and actions through the power of the Holy Spirit. Teach me to pause before reacting, pray before deciding, and choose what honors You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

GIFTS ARE GIVEN FOR THE GOOD OF THE BODY
1Corinthians reminds us that the fruit of the Spirit is not something we produce, but something God grows in us when we are connected to Him. May our love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control become visible evidence of Christ living in us
As we observe the gifts of the Spirit in the days ahead, we are not simply speaking of personal abilities or church roles When God forms a person in the womb, He gives them natural abilities strengths, instincts, personality traits, and talents that make them unique. These natural talents are part of God’s design long before salvation. But when a person is filled with the Holy Spirit, something new happens The Holy Spirit enters their life and gives them spiritual gifts abilities empowered by God for ministry. Paul writes, “To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.” (1 Corinthians 12:7)
Some gifts may be visible, while others may happen quietly in the background, but they are all important to equip believers to serve one another, build up the church, and display God’s grace Just as the hand, the foot, the eye, and the ear all matter to our natural body, so it is with the body of Christ, which is the Church. God has given us the grace of spiritual gifts that we might build up the church as a body of many parts working together in unity
Prar: Holy Spirit, open our hearts as we study Your gifts. Help us receive these gifts and use them to build up the body of Christ. Teach us to serve not for recognition, but for the common good and the glory of Jesus. Amen.

THE GIFT OF WISDOM
This wisdom is given to some as a special gift to guide them in understanding and applying God’s will. It is not merely intellectual knowledge, but practical discernment that leads to righteous living and sound decision-making This wisdom leads us to a deeper understanding of both us and others.
Our scripture paints a beautiful picture of wisdom from above In a world that often values sharp tongues, winning arguments, and self-promotion, this kind of wisdom is completely opposite. The wisdom that comes from above is not based on being the smartest in the room; it’s about reflecting the character of God in how we think, speak, and act.
True wisdom begins with purity, with motives cleansed from selfish ambition It’s peaceable, seeking reconciliation over conflict and harmony over hostility. It’s gentle not weak, but considerate, kind, and slow to retaliate. This wisdom is open to reason, willing to listen, humble enough to be corrected It’s full of mercy extending grace - even when it’s not deserved and produces good fruits, tangible acts of love and integrity. Above all, it’s impartial and sincere. It shows no favoritism or hidden agendas. It’s the kind of wisdom Jesus lived out
In short, God gives wisdom as a gift to some because of their openness to Him, their trust in His guidance, and their willingness to live in alignment with His will It is both a blessing and a responsibility to receive it with gratitude and to share it with others.
Prayer: Father, thank you for the gift of wisdom. We know that true wisdom comes directly from You, who freely gives knowledge and understanding to those who ask. We praise you for giving wisdom as a gift to those you choose. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

THE GIFT OF KNOWLEDGE
The spiritual gift of knowledge is more than the ability to recall facts or understand concepts it is a divine insight given by the Holy Spirit to perceive truth as God sees it. This gift allows believers to connect the dots between God’s Word, His will, and the circumstances of life in a way that brings clarity, direction, and encouragement to others.
When God grants this gift, it’s not for personal pride or intellectual superiority Instead, it’s a sacred trust meant to build up the body of Christ. Knowledge without love can become cold and arrogant, but knowledge infused with humility becomes a light that guides others toward God’s heart
Think of it like a lamp in a dark room. The lamp doesn’t create the light it simply carries it In the same way, those with the gift of knowledge don’t own the truth; they carry it from the Source, (The Holy Spirit) illuminating the path for others.
If you have this gift, God may use you to (a) Bring biblical clarity to confusion; (b) Offer wise counsel, applying scripture, and (c) Reveal connections between God’s Word and real-life situations.
Pray: Lord, thank You for the gift of knowledge. Help me to steward it with humility, to speak truth with grace, and to use it to strengthen and encourage others. May my understanding always point people back to You, the Source of all knowledge. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

THE GIFT OF FAITH
The spiritual gift of faith is a divine gift that empowers believers to trust God beyond their natural capacity. This faith is unshakeable, regardless of obstacles, setbacks, or delays.
While all believers have been given saving faith by God, not all believers are given the spiritual gift of faith. The spiritual gift of faith is a unique, supernatural surge of confidence in God’s power and promises It’s the ability to see a problem or experience a struggle in life, but instead of dwelling on it, faith will bless you with a calmness, sometimes beyond the understanding of some, because you know that God is going to take care of the matter, whatever it may be Like all gifts of the Holy Spirit, the spiritual gift of faith is given for the “ common good’’, which means for the edifying of the body of Christ.
The gift of faith is not about ignoring the reality of a struggle; it’s about trusting that God will keep His promise to supply all our needs. It’s like a second wind that allows you to stand firm when others waver, believing that God will do exactly what He has promised. The spiritual gift of faith is exhibited by one with a strong and unshakeable confidence in God, His Word, and His promises.
Some of the things the gift of faith empowers us to do are: (a) Move forward when others freeze; (b) Believe God will provide when others fear lack; (c) Pray without doubting; (d) Encourage discouraged believers.
Pray: Father may those to whom you have imparted the gift of faith, allow that faith to shine brightly, guiding others and strengthening their heart along their journey. Thank you for the measure of faith you have given to us all. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

THE GIFT OF HEALING
The spiritual gift of healing is a supernatural ability, given by the Holy Spirit, to serve as a channel for God’s restorative power in the life of others. This gift is not about the person with the gift, it’s always about God’s sovereignty, compassion, and glory, working through a yielded vessel. Walking in this gift requires faith, humility, and being deeply rooted in the scripture. It’s not about hype or performance.
The Holy Spirit distributes gifts “to each one individually as He wills” (1Corinthians 12:11) He does not limit Himself to pastors, evangelists, or people with seminary degrees. Some of the most powerful healing ministries are led by quiet, unassuming believers who simply love God and His people.
This gift is a beautiful expression of God’s compassion, reminding us that He is not far removed from our pain, instead, He actively seeks to bring wholeness to His creation. The gift of healing is a living, breathing expression of God’s compassion available to His people today God is still distributing the gift of healing in His church As you read this devotion, He may be stirring something in your heart right now.
It’s important to remember that the gifts of the Holy Spirit, including the gifts of healing, are simply a manifestation of the Holy Spirit. The gifts were never meant to be viewed as presents with pretty bows, rather they were meant to be understood as manifestations of the Person of the Holy Spirit
Pray: Father, I am thankful to you for the gift of healing that is still operating in the world today. I understand you give all spiritual gifts according to your will. I pray that the people you have entrusted with this gift are always mindful that the power to heal comes from you working through them and not in their own strength. In the name of Jesus, I pray. THE WORKING OF POWERFUL DEEDS
The spiritual gift of “working of powerful deeds” is also referred to as “working of miracles” in some Bible translations This gift involves God’s power working through a believer to perform supernatural wonders that reveal God’s power.
The gifted person is God’s “handiwork” empowered by Him to do as assigned by Him When we are empowered by God with special gifts, we become instruments of His mercy, justice, and love. When God’s supernatural power is manifested through the chosen believer, it allows a work to be done that cannot be humanly explained Just as God endowed Paul with the power to heal a man who had been lame from birth (Acts 14:8-10) God still bestows the ability to perform special works of power into the lives of some believers today Mark 16:17-18 tells us: “These signs will accompany those who believe: ” We can hold on to the fact that these powerful deeds, whether large or small, are a testament to God’s love and His involvement in our lives.
In summary, the “spiritual gift of powerful deeds”, or miracles as some would say, is best understood as the supernatural works of God, performed through a chosen vessel by the power of the Holy Spirit These are not random talents but divinely appointed abilities to glorify God and build up His kingdom.
The same God who used His followers to do the working of powerful deeds in Biblical days, can do the same today.
Pray: Lord, thank You for being a God of powerful deeds. Let Your wonders manifest in our lives today. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen

GOD’S TRUTH THROUGH PROPHECY
The spiritual gift of prophecy is the God-given ability to communicate a message from God that strengthens, encourages, and comforts His people. The New Testament emphasizes that prophecy is not primarily about predicting the future, but about speaking God's truth in a way that builds up the church. God’s Word tells us that those who prophesy, speak to other people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation. The word also tells us that we pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy.
When God gives a prophetic word, it should draw people closer to Christ, align with Scripture, and produce spiritual growth. Prophecy is never meant to exalt the person delivering the message; it is meant to glorify God and serve others.
The gift of prophecy is not about personal status or special insight it is about faithfully communicating God's heart in a way that strengthens, encourages, and comforts others while remaining grounded in Scripture and motivated by love May we understand that prophecy doesn’t have its origin in human will, instead it comes from God as the Holy Spirit empowers the prophet.
Pray: Heavenly Father, thank You for giving spiritual gifts to Your people. Help me pursue love above all else and to be sensitive to the voice of Your Holy Spirit. If You choose to use me through the gift of prophecy, give me humility, wisdom, and courage to speak only what honors You and strengthens others. Teach me to test everything by Your Word and to use every gift for Your glory. May my life be a source of encouragement, comfort, and truth to those around me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

THE GIFT OF DISCERNMENT
The gift to discern spirits enables a believer to recognize whether a spiritual influence is from God, a human source, or a demonic spirit. It operates through the Holy Spirit’s guidance and the believer’s knowledge of Scripture Discernment goes beyond common sense and intelligence. We can be educated and still be deceived. The discernment of spirits helps the gifted filter what’s from God, what’s from the flesh, and what’s a distraction in disguise, as he/she walks in step with the Holy Spirit Discernment of spirits is the ability to recognize and test spiritual influences, guided by the Holy Spirit. The discerning of spirits is like a spiritual compass.
While all believers are called to “test the spirits” (1 John 4:1) and are empowered to discern truth from error, not every believer is given the unique, specialized ability to spot doctrinal forgeries or deceptive spirits Those with the gift of discerning spirits, are uniquely equipped to spot subtle spiritual deceptions and guide others in truth, ensuring the church remains spiritually healthy and doctrinal sound.
In summary, the gift of discernment of spirits is a vital spiritual gift that empowers believers to distinguish between divine, human, and demonic influences, grounded in Scripture and exercised through the Holy Spirit
Pray: Lord, thank You for the gift of discernment. Teach me to hear Your voice above all others. Fill me with Your love so that I may discern rightly and act graciously. Let my words and actions always point others toward You. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

VARIOUS KINDS OF TONGUES
Speaking in various kinds of tongues, often referred to as “speaking in tongues”, or “speaking in unknown tongue” is a supernatural gift given by the Holy Spirit that enables believers to communicate with God in a language unknown to them It is a form of prayer and praise that goes beyond human language barriers and expresses the depths of the spirit in communion with God. While some may view speaking in various kinds of tongues as strange or chaotic, when used in accordance with Scripture, it can be a powerful tool for personal edification.
This gift is real It was first realized at Pentecost, when the people who were endowed with the Holy Spirit spoke in unknown tongues as the Holy Spirit gave them utterance. The Bible doesn’t teach this gift is for everyone, nor does it teach it’s the initial evidence of Holy Spirit baptism
The gift, as presented in Scripture, is a divinely bestowed ability enabling believers to speak under the Holy Spirit’s influence Rooted in the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2), and illustrated throughout church history, it serves a dual function of personal edification, and corporate strengthening as well, when interpreted. It reveals the power of God, who empowers His people for worship, ministry, and for evangelism To those who have been blessed with this gift, it is important to seek understanding and wisdom in its use.
Pray: Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of tongues, a precious means to draw closer to You. May Your Spirit guide those who are gifted to use this gift for personal edification and, when interpreted, for the encouragement of others. THE INTERPRETATION OF TONGUES
Imagine being in a room where someone speaks a language you ’ ve never learned. Initially the words have a sound of mystery, but beyond your understanding. Then, someone begins to interpret Suddenly, the message becomes clear, personal, and powerful. That’s the beauty of the gift of interpretation of tongues. It takes what is hidden and makes it known, not for personal glory but for the edification of the body of Christ.
In the scripture, a problem arose in the church of Corinth. Those speaking in various kinds of tongues were exercising their gift with no interpreter present. The result was that the tongue- speaker was commanding attention, but his words were meaningless, since no one could understand him.
Paul advised the church, in 1Corinthians 14, that if anyone speaks in unknown tongues, there must be an interpreter, otherwise the speaker should keep quiet and speak to himself and God. This directive ensured that the use of tongues in a corporate setting is orderly and beneficial to all present
In 1Corinthians 14:5 Paul assures us that tongues, when interpreted, can build up the church just like prophecy The church will be strengthened, encouraged and comforted, and God will be glorified. However, without interpretation, the message remains a mystery to listeners.
Pray: Heavenly Father, thank You for the gifts of the Spirit, especially the gift of interpretation of tongues. If you choose to bestow this gift upon me, help me to be attentive to Your voice and willing to step out in faith when You prompt me. May every word bring clarity, unity, and glory to Your name, when they are interpreted. In Jesus’ name, Amen

THE GIFT OF TEACHING
As we continue our study on the Spiritual Gifts, may I remind you that God endows each Spirit-filled Christian with at least one spiritual gift. Sadly, some Christians allow their gift(s) to lie dormant, especially if they have not received effective teaching, regarding Spiritual Gifts, through the teaching of scripture God wants to activate and mobilize His followers to accomplish His mission and purpose in the earth, using their Spiritual Gift(s). Because the spiritual gifts are not of our own but from God, He desires that we use the gift(s) to point people to Him God gives us our gift(s) and empowers us to bless others and bring them to Him. Today we will look at the spiritual gift of Teaching.
Teaching should be an essential function in the Church God’s word tells us to do our best to present ourselves to God as one approved by Him, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly explaining the word of truth. This means that we must study, wherein we may share God’s word effectively and without error
The gift of teaching carries a heavy responsibility. In fact, James 3:1 tells us that teachers will face stricter judgment, because God entrusts teachers with the task of effectively communicating God’s Word, what it means, and how we are to apply it to our lives.
Pray: Father, let each teacher’s teaching be guided by the Holy Spirit and rooted firmly in Scripture. Give them patience with those who are learning, compassion for those who are struggling, and a servant's heart that desires to build up Your people. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

THE GIFT OF EXHORTATION
In the Bible, the spiritual gift of encouragement (also translated as "exhortation") is the God-given ability to encourage, strengthen, comfort and challenge others in their walk with Christ This gift means more than offering kind words It involves being alongside someone to inspire faith, motivate obedience, and help them persevere through difficulties.
Throughout scripture, we see the importance of encouragement. Life often presents challenges that can leave us discouraged, weary, or uncertain. God uses people with the gift of exhortation to remind others of His promises, point them to His truth, and help them remain steadfast in their faith.
Every believer can encourage others, but those gifted in exhortation have a special ability to recognize spiritual needs and speak words that bring hope, conviction, and strength. Their ministry helps people move from discouragement to confidence, from doubt to faith, and from stagnation to spiritual growth Those with this gift can uplift and motivate others as well as challenge and rebuke them, in order to aid them in spiritual growth and action.
If God has given you this gift, use it faithfully Look for opportunities to uplift the weary, challenge the complacent, comfort the hurting, and remind others of God's faithfulness. Your words may be the very instrument God uses to strengthen someone's heart.
Pray: We come before You with hearts full of gratitude, praising You for the beautiful and diverse gifts You have poured out upon the Church. Thank You for placing individuals within the Body of Christ who are filled with Your Holy Spirit and a divine ability to encourage, comfort, and build others up.

GIVING IN SINCERITY
The spiritual gift of giving is the God-given ability and desire to share resources, time, talents, and possessions generously, to advance God's kingdom and meet the needs of others. While God instructs all believers to give, the Holy Spirit has given some the spiritual gift of giving Those with this gift give with exceptional generosity, joy, and faith They have a deep commitment to provide whatever resources are needed to support God’s will and plan.
Those with this gift often find joy in meeting needs quietly and without seeking recognition. They see opportunities where others see obstacles. Rather than focusing on what they might lose, they focus on what God can accomplish through their generosity Their giving becomes an act of worship and a demonstration of their trust in God's promises.
When giving money, God does not measure what is given by the amount one gives; instead, He measures our giving by the heart behind it. For example, do we give with joy? God loves a cheerful giver (See 2 Corinthians 9:7)
Giving is a lifestyle, not a financial transaction. It is about sharing our resources, grace, and unique talents to help others Giving someone our undivided attention is one of the most respectful things we can do. Giving is a lifestyle. When we live with a spirit of giving, we are sowing seeds that God will make bloom into a rich harvest.
Pray: Father, may my giving reflect Your love, bring glory to Your name, and be a blessing to others. Help me to trust You as my provider and to find joy in sharing what You have given me. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
