On Saturday we closed the celebration with Rally at the Ocho Rios Baptist Church in St. Ann. We started the day’s activity with devotion which was led by St. Ann Parish President, Mr. Nickoy Brown. The word was delivered by Vice President Davewin C. Thomas whose message resonated with those in attendance. After devotion, we had the areas of competition in the performing and visual arts such as Dub Poetry, Chorale singing (mixed), dance (mixed), poster and the regular featured Bible Quiz from the book of Esther and Baptist History. All zones participated in most areas and zone 2 which comprised of St. Catherine and Kingston & St. Andrew won most categories and walked away with the first place. Overall the performances were of a high standard. There were many give-a-ways and a prominent feature of the rally was the effective use of social media for the instant upload of pictures highlighting the day’s activity. This gave individuals the opportunity to connect with the event in various locations and demonstrate positive and meaningful use of social media. The conference and rally climaxed with a concert featuring our combined singers, individuals from local churches and the renowned gospel Let us continue to artiste, Kevin Downswell who minis- believe, reach and tered in song and allowed for a time rejoice in the Lord. of reflection. It was a blessing to all.
