DIMENSIONS OF GREATNESS Patrick Businge, PhD Greatness University “People travel to wonder at the height of the mountains, at the huge waves of the seas, at the long course of the rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motion of the stars, and yet they pass by themselves without wondering.”
St. Augustine of Hippo, Theologian
Scientists tell us that for something to be complete, it must have dimensions. For example, the dimensions of objects are length, breadth and height. I think this is the same for greatness. In my view, there are four dimensions of greatness: inward, outward, upward, and downward greatness. These dimensions help us to answer the question that have occupied the human mind for centuries: what is greatness? 21
This was the case with the biblical Jesus who with his close disciples climbed the mountain and experienced the transfiguration. This was the experience that Dr Martin Luther King Jr describes in his speech ‘I’ve’ Been to the Mountain Top’ delivered in Memphis, Tennessee on 3rd April 1968: ‘Well, I don’t know what will happen now. We’ve got some difficult days ahead. But it doesn’t matter with me now. Because I’ve been to the mountaintop. And I don’t mind. Like any man, I would like to live a long life. Longevity has its place. But I’m not concerned about that now. I just want to do God’s will. And He’s allowed me to go up to the mountain. And I’ve looked over. And I’ve seen the promised land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people will get to the promised land. And I’m happy, tonight. I’m not worried about anything. I’m not fearing any man. My eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord.’ In people like Moses, Jesus, and Martin Luther King Jr, we encounter upward and downward greatness that is aligned with the mysterium tremendum and the mysterium fascinosum. Once this happens, new and transformative truths are revealed. Likewise, when you execute your upward greatness, and climb the mountain top, you are able to receive eternal truths that will allow you to be a fulfilled visionary, creative creator, leading light, and legend of greatness. To summarise, there are four dimensions of greatness that are materially and immaterially experienced. On the material level, there stands a human being looking inwardly and discovering their greatness. Once discovered, they become witnesses to their own greatness. This is inward greatness. On this same level, some human beings stretch outwards to use their inward greatness, serve others and positively change the world. This is outward greatness. On the immaterial level, we have human beings looking upwards, searching for their origin and waiting for a response. Once they discover it, they embark on a journey to lead others to greatness. This is upward greatness. In response to their quest, you have the Greatest Reality responding to our search for meaning and significance through the mysterium tremendum and the mysterium fascinosum experiences. To conclude, these are the four dimensions of greatness that I have used to define greatness. These are the dimensions needed to live a meaningful life to you, to your neighbour, and life in harmony with The Greatest Reality. 28
CHOSEN FOR SUCCESS Drs. Chris & Carol Green (Hon. Causa) C and C Connections, LLC, USA 29
UNVEILING YOUR GENIUS PROFESSOR MATEUS MUTOLA All through the ages, man has always sought for answers and solutions for his challenges and worldly situations that contradict his inward desires. However, little does he know that he was wired by God with all the answers within him. He was born a genius! King Solomon said, “Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out” (Prov.20:5). As we shall see later on, there is counsel in the heart of man. This counsel makes a genius out of a man. Usually, a genius is thought to be someone with an outstanding intellectual or creative power or other natural ability or an extremely intelligent person. However, I see a genius as someone who has an unlimited ability to create a new paradigm shift in society. You are born with this unlimited ability. It is not acquired but discovered and developed. 38
Mankind is created in the image and likeness of God, the Creator. Being in His image means that man has the same inherent ability as his Creator. Being in His likeness means that man can function like God on earth. Hence, when He created man God instilled in him His creative power and ability that by reason of creation makes a man a genius. In other words, it is not our scholastic (academic) or artistic performance that makes one a genius but the inherent ability of God in man. That’s why a great number of the world’s top inventors were not “A” students but changed the world through the discovery and unveiling of the genius in them. In fact, people with high IQs have hardly changed the world! Consequently, the genius in man is the manifestation of the unknown God. And since God is Spirit, man is also a spirit being. Therefore, the genius in man is his spirit man which is one with the Creator God. They are interwoven to the point of no separation. The spirit of man contains all the information about his life and secrets that pertain to life and godlikeness (2Cor.2:9-10, 2Pet.1:3; Prov.20:27). Life is all that the God created and intended to be like peace, love, prosperity, health, wealth, success, joy, abundance, wisdom, progress, advancement, growth, expansion, etc. Anything contrary to these is not from the Creator, hence is not life! 39
King Solomon asserted that the spirit of man is the candle of the Lord and that “Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it”. The “heart” stands for the spirit of man and it is through the spirit of man that God releases His creative power or ability that make a man to be regarded as a genius. Furthermore, the spirit of man has counsel which refers to the supernatural information of the highest order that pertains to life. When discovered and unleashed, this information makes man a genius. And this information is already inside you, in your spirit! The challenge upbringing

In His supernatural wisdom God brought man to earth by first creating the first spirit man out of Himself and gave him two “earth” suits. To one earth suit God called male and the other, female. God then established a principle through which the propagation of His spirit man on earth would be through the coming together of the first two “earth suits”, whom, generally, we come to call our “parents”. Ideally, they have the responsibility to raise us up according to Gods will or divine principle.
