BOAT RENTALS
Be sure to reserve the boat of your choice so you can enjoy your favorite water spots around San Antonio and surrounding areas. Available boats include pontoon boats, ski boats, Jon boats, bay boats and bass boats. Gives us a call to reserve a boat.
RV PARK
The RV Park has 74 full hookup RV pull-through sites with water, sewage and electricity. There are also two shower facilities and two laundry facilities for the customer’s convenience. All sites are 30/50 amp. Every site has a patio with a picnic table and 69 sites have a grill. There
is a maximum stay limit of 30 days and reservations are taken up to 90 days in advance.
The rates are $30 per day, $180 per week and $650 per month. The cost for sponsored visitors is $35 per day. GROOMING WITH GOVIES CLASS
Wednesdays • 10:30 a.m.
Grooming class includes learning how to move safely around the horses, grooming techniques, horse anatomy, and if time allows a pony/cart ride. The class is approximately 30 minutes long. It is designed for children ages three and older that don’t meet lesson age requirements but show an interest in learning about and spending time with the horses. The cost is $10 per youth.
RIDING LESSONS

The Equestrian Center offers horseback riding lessons for all levels of riders in both Englishand Western-style. Therapeutic riding lessons are also available. Horses, saddles and tack for lessons will be provided if needed. Patrons must be at least seven years old. The price is $60 per hour for a private lesson, $50 for semi-private and $40 for group lessons. Therapeutic
lessons are $30 for 30 minutes. Lessons are available most days of the week and in the evenings. Helmets are available if you do not have your own.
TRAIL RIDES
Saturdays and Sundays Weekend trail rides are available for patrons seven and older for $30. All riders must arrive 30 minutes prior to their appointment time. Adults must accompany children under the age of 13. Riders must be at least 4 feet, 6 inches tall and weigh no more than 200 pounds. Weekday trail rides, group rides, teambuilding rides and pony rides are also available by appointment. Weekday trail rides are $40 per person. Call to make reservations.

The Equestrian Center offers parent-led pony rides for $10 for children that do not meet age/ height requirements for trail rides. Adults must accompany their children and availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. Pony rides can also be coordinated for weekdays on an appointment basis as well as for parties or other special events held on site. A covered deck is available for small parties for half-day use for $50. We also have carriage rides for $40. Must make a reservation.

This is the last shoot of the year! The 3D Archery Range consists of a course with 30 life-like animal targets such as bears, black panthers, deer, alligators, etc. The targets are set up between 5 & 55 yards at various distances. Traditional (Long Bows and Recurve Bows) and Compound Bows are allowed but no Crossbows. Camp Bullis ODR has Recurve Bows available to rent for $20 each. Registration for the Shoot is from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and participants may start the course as soon as registered. SAN ANTONIO MISSIONS BIKE TOUR

You probably know you should always, “Remember the Alamo”, but did you know San Antonio is home to four other historical missions? Join us as we bike along the paved “Hike and Bike” trail totaling 14 miles roundtrip! We will stop at each mission (about 2.5 miles away from one another) to learn about San Antonio’s unique history. ROCK CLIMBING AT MEDICINE WALL

Purchase a Joint Base San Antonio Recreation Park at Canyon Lake annual pass for $100. Buy one and enjoy the lake all year. FIRST STEPS BASKETBALL REGISTRATION

Children ages 3-4 learn the fundamentals of basketball in a non-game/team format. Parents are required to participate as an extension of the instructor. The cost is $40 per child. NATIONAL TACO DAY CELEBRATION
Oct. 4 • 4:30-5:30 p.m. It doesn’t have to be Tuesday to enjoy your favorite soft or hard-shelled tortilla treat. The history of tacos predates the arrival of Europeans in Mexico. Anthropological evidence shows
the native people living in the lake region of the Valley of Mexico traditionally ate tacos filled with small fish. It’s unclear why the word taco was used to describe this native food. One suggested origin is the word taco, means stuff or to stuff. Join your friends for this great taco event. Event is free and open to all Youth Programs members.
COACHES, GIFT THE LOVE OF SPORTS - MENTOR A YOUTH TODAY!
Youth Programs is looking for energetic and enthusiastic volunteer coaches who are interested in teaching youth sports. Through team sports we want to foster an experience that promotes confidence and self-esteem in military youth. If you are interested in serving as a volunteer coach, contact your local Youth Programs and complete the registration process to be a coach for flag football, soccer, baseball, and basketball. All potential volunteers must obtain clearance, complete 10 hours of training, and attend two practice/games per week during a 8-week season.

YOUTH BABYSITTERS COURSE
Sept. 21 • 8 a.m. to noon Lackland Youth Programs is offering Red Cross Babysitting Training for ages 11 and older. The cost for the class is $40 per youth. Class will cover basic care for infants and children, basic first aid, child behavior, ageappropriate activities, emergency protocols, professionalism and leadership. Sign up through CYPBMS by Sept. 17.

Join us on the grounds of Lackland Youth Programs with all JBSA partners showcasing their services and opportunities for children and families. This is a free event open to all youth and families. The event includes lots of activities, displays, info booths, games, light snacks and drinks.

Are you new to the game of basketball? Then jump into this clinic and get ready to learn the fundamentals. The cost for this clinic is $25 per youth. Our coaches have prepared weeklong drill sessions to get ready for the upcoming season. Ages 5-8 in the first session and 9 and older in the second session.
4-H NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY
Oct. 17 • 4:30–6:30 p.m.
The theme of this event is “Food for Thought”. Doesn’t it sound yummy! Experience the world of food security and vulnerabilities, brainstorm recycling food scraps into helpful solutions and build your own growing environment to take home. This event is free and open to ages kindergarten to teens. Parents are also welcome to attend.
LIGHTS ON AFTER SCHOOL
